I had Michelin Defender tires for 2 years. They were awesome! These tires really stuck to the road, and I felt safe even when it rained. They hardly wore out, so I didn't have to buy new ones. It was like having a reliable friend on the road. I'll definitely get them again. Great tires!

I have been buying Michelin tires for over 45 years. This is the set has lasted 3 years and perform as good as the first day. The set before this lasted over 9 years. They just don't wear out. If you keep them rotated and balanced and alinement you will get long tread life from them. I love the performance in both on and off the road because I drive up to the ranch on dirt and gravel roads. These tires are the best tire on the market today and are the best I have ever owned. They are smooth and quiet riding on the highway. Don't be fooled by moucho looking brands these tires will out perform any other brand hands down you can take my word on that. I have had very heavy loads in my truck and they handle them very well. These are the best tires made in the world.

I am a recently retired Fleet Manager with 40 years managing a large municipal fleet including Fire and Emergency Services vehicles and in my career Michelin has always been my number one choice for all on road units. The quality of the defender tire no only provides an excellent ride on my truck but also great tread wear which equals long life and economical operation costs.

In 45 years of owning vehicles these are probably the best tires I have ever owned. First I did my research before buying these tires. Along with some other traits, I really wanted a tire with good traction for the snow and ice I experience in Michigan as well as decent rolling resistance so that I would still get good fuel economy with our hybrid electric vehicle. I also wanted a quieter tire and this is difficult to find with a mud and snow tire. I narrowed it down to this Michelin and another name brand tire. After discussing this with my auto mechanic brother he said hands down get the Michelin! I have had these tires on our Hybrid Electric All Wheel Drive Escape for 5 1/2 years now and they have been amazing! Smooth riding and quiet with good rain, snow and ice traction. What has been truly amazing is the tire wear. I have had them on my vehicle for over 6 years and 100000 miles now and am not to the wear bars yet. I honestly think I could safely get another 20000 miles before needing to replace them. FYI, I once had some Uniroyal tires that had 80000 miles with tread still left but they lost all grip as the tires had solidified into a hard plastic like compound. These Michelins are still pliable and get very good traction! Just a reminder that in order to maximize performance and longevity, suspension components such as ball joints and shock absorbers need to be kept in good working order and the wheel alignment needs to be in spec and the tires inflated properly and rotated (being an automotive test engineer I know better and rotate front to rear only and do so every 10000 miles at most).

These tires are on our 2005 Class C motorhome. Although we don't put many miles on this vehicle, we have never had a problem with these tires. They are comfortable and give very good control and riding comfort. We had to drive during a period of severe winds and rain for about 5 hours, and we were amazed that we did not suffer any loss of directional stability or traction. Also, these tires appear to be resisting weather checking and any signs of aging. Tread wear is excellent.

I purchased 4 Michelin Defender Tires from a local tire dealer on 6/7/17. I drove the vehicle for a few days and noticed a vibration in the steering wheel at 60 mph and higher. I originally thought there was an issue with my vehicle but I was able to have my truck looked at by my local dealership and discovered that the problem wasn't with my vehicle but with the tires themselves. My dealership explained that I had 3 tires which were out of spec during the road force balance. I'm currently awaiting my tires to be replaced but the distributor I purchased them from is dragging their feet on the process. How can 3 out of 4 tires be bad?

Long time Michelin fan. 2 months ago we had Defenders installed on our 2017 Ram 1500 and compared to the worn OEM tires, these are very quiet. One concern (or complaint) is that on gravel roads, they pick up and throw rocks… a lot more than any tire I've ever owned. I may have to swap these if I determine the rocks are causing damages.

I purchased a used Ford Explorer 4x4 from a Ford dealer with a mis-matched set of tires. Knowing the vehicle was based on a truck platform, I still felt the highway ride should have felt better than what I was experiencing - loud tire whine,vibrations and a rough ride. I quickly replaced the OEM shocks which improved the ride somewhat, but it wasn't until I went to my Michelin dealer and he recommended the LTX M/S tires than I finally had the improvement I was looking for. After I replaced that mis-matched set of tires with the new Michelin LTX M/S's and drove it home, I thought my Explorer had been replaced with a look alike. I mean everything about the performance was dramatically improved! The ride was smooth with no tire whine and no more annoying vibration. It felt like the vehicle was finally gripping the road. And in the rain, it felt like I was riding on rails. Who knew tires would've made such a huge difference? I do now! I finally felt safe and secure, like I now had a vehicle that could take me anywhere. I'm a Michelin fan for life now! No other tires for me.

i bought these for wifes cadillac xt5 with 235/55/20's about 1000 miles on them, they seem louder, stiffer, than the Michelin Premiers that came with the vehicle??? are they desinged for larger vehicles or something? i have about a week left to exchange them for a different tire they seem to be a great tire but maybe for larger vehicles???

I've logged 30,000 km so far on these tires. They are quiet and have remarkable traction and grip in snow and rain. I've had Michelin tires on all my vehicles for the past 40 years, except once when I tried another brand. I was sorry I did and changed back to Michelin and won't consider another brand again.
