I was actually confused and disappointed when Glenlevit came out with the newer "flavors" and aging ....but I have found this 12 yr old to be the best of the bunch...and just like the original I started drinking 30 years.

Not a good idea to take a youngish blended whisky and place it into heavy, heavy oak barrels. The wood adds tannins, subtracts any nuances that might have been in the original drink.

Smooth is a good word for it. There are people that can smell all the ingredients and describe the flavors in ways i cannot, but to me smooth is good enough.

I have purchased this SW for the last year or so. The color and nose are only surpassed by its excellent taste. I keep it on have always and it goes so well with a fine premium cigar.

I was testing diferent brands of single malt whisky and I prefer the Glenglivet 12 years and Founder Reserve. Both are well favcored and the Bouquet is extraordinary. I drink both on the rocks or single

This is a really good whiskey. I’m my experience it’s on par with Macallan. Though I usually go for Macallan first, I wouldn’t be mad if this was the only option.

I was turned on to Glenlivet in the 1990s by my late bartender, Bob. He put a glass on the rocks down in front of me and said, "this is what you should be drinking." I was hooked. Thanks, Bob. You did me a lifetime favor.

I am used to drinking Irish Whiskey but thought I’d give a Scottish Whisky a try and went with Glenlivet as I’ve heard nothing but great things. It is nice and smooth, it has a nice touch of smokiness. I highly recommend it.

Smooth and tasty, for sipping for sure. I’m not that into scotch but this is a decent one to keep on the shelf. I’d say a good entry point to scotch, not too expensive and easily available. Cheers!!!!
