Our daughter is now 7 and has been using Bentgo Kids boxes since she was 3. We use the box literally every day for packing her school lunch during the week and snacks/lunch on weekends. She likes a variety of food in one sitting and this box is perfect with its different compartments that keep everything separate. It stores all food extremely well with the exception of red spaghetti sauce. We use a different container for that because the tomato seems to stain the inner seal of the Bentgo and it’s hard, near impossible to wash out. But tilt them sideways, jostle them around, these boxes never leak and each food remains in its compartment. The quality of the plastic is excellent, smooth to the touch. The rubber trim on the outside is great for holding the box in place on a table or when sitting with it on your lap. If there’s not enough space to eat with the top flipped open, you can just pop the food tray out. That having been said, she is now on her third box, soon to be fourth. So they do eventually need to be retired. And they are not the cheapest box on the market. But in my experience Bentgo honors their 2-year warranty, as long as you can provide documentation for the purchase and the problem. I was surprised to read that others unfortunately have not had the same smooth experience with this process. We had a latch break on one after 23 months and mildew develop along an inside compartment seal of another. The first was replaced even at 23 months, and the other is currently being replaced, so with the replacements maybe it would be more correct to say we are on our “second” box. My daughter’s father initially balked at the price. But between the box’s durability, ease of use, and Bentgo honoring their replacement policy, even he feels they are very worth the price and would recommend them. She may need a bigger box next year. When she does, I will definitely take be taking a close look at Bentgo’s other products and the reviews.

I bought this lunchbox in August and we love it. Unfortunately after only 3 months of use the hinge broke and we are dealing with customer service on a replacement. Customer has been great and this little hiccup won’t stop me from recommending or purchasing more products in the future.

We brought these for our kids for school lunch and they wonderful. The portions area are just perfect. One of my containers had a minor issue, called customer service and they helped me right away with a replacement. Will be purchasing more products in the future and would definitely recommend to everyone. Thanks again for great customer service.

I bought two pack of these for my two kids in daycare a year ago. They have worked perfectly for our needs, although on the fresh ones our day care provider has lost the insert/divider on both our boxes which is a pain, but not Bentgo’s fault. In fact I reached out to them when it happened and they send me two dividers for free! Daycare has since lost those but I haven’t reached out again since I’m sure they will just continue to lose them. However I reached out this week because the one kids lunchbox latch broke. I figured they wouldn’t be able to do anything, but they immediately responded that a replacement is on its way to me. I was shocked as I purchased this product just over a year ago. You have just secured a customer for life! When these boxes are worn out I will be buying them again! As for functionality I love both boxes for different reasons. I love that I can add ranch dressing for my kids veggies right to the kids one and the bigger spots are nice for larger fruit in the fresh box. I fill both up on Sunday so Monday and Tuesday lunches are covered but I may just purchase a couple more so I can prep more lunches and make our evenings a little less hectic. My daughter, now entering kindergarten, is a grazer. This box is perfect for her! Her yogurt doesn’t leak (I haven’t tried anything with a lot of liquid, but her watermelon doesn’t seem to leak into other compartments). And with two thin ice blocks inside the cooler bag, the food stays chilled well into the afternoon once I pick her up from after school care. We’ve had it for a year, and the only issue I had was mold forming on the silicone seal when I left food in it for a couple days after an illness that ran through the household. However, customer service was a huge help in addressing the issue.

My child likes it, but unfortunately, after less than one year of careful use, the gloss is all scratched up and looking dull and very used, altho it does keep everything in place and does not leak. It also took forever for the silicone inside to lose a very pungent and toxic smell. I am also worried about chemicals leaching, since after contacting bentgo, I was told there are indeed phthalates employed in the process of making the bento box, which was contrary to the description when I bought it. Really wanted to love it, maybe the glass one's will stay nicer longer!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We use this for taking food to kids events, works great when they are not with us to hold their snacks and food. Dividers stay separated and food things don't mix even when being thrown around. The case lid flips open and over to provide good access. Firm solid hinges built to last.

This is my teens favorite lunchbox, it hold the perfect amount of food without it looking babyish. Love that it’s leakproof and we can get extras trays for it. However, the latch broke we were bummed! (Minus 1 star only for that) But they have amazing customer service and are sending a replacement! Very happy with the product and service all around!

These lunchboxes are great. They are large enough to fit anything I need for my kids as well as use them for myself. They clean very easily at the end of the day to be ready for the next with some simple handwashing, but also work well in the dishwasher. I use them every single day.

This is such a quality lunch box you can’t go wrong. Tested the leak proof claim and it didn’t spill a drop. My son loves the design and is really proud of it. He has shown it off to others a few times. He likes to help pack his lunch for school and deciding which food goes where so that's been fun. I like it so much that I'm going to buy my husband's and mine, too.
