Firestone Destination LE3 - 255/70R16 111T Tire

I needed new tires before a 500 mile weekend drive. The tires performed better than expected, especially when I encountered road construction.

Great tire for the price and service close to home. Lived in the city since 1969, love being able to get my service in the town I live

Tires

Definitely rides/handles as good as oem tires when they were new. No complaints. Great choice for a mid priced tire.

Solid replacement

tires are almost bald at 30000 miles of mostly highway driving, definitely going to go back to BFGs or Coopers.

tread wear

I am happy with the Firestone Destination tires, very comfortable drive, better handling and quite ride.

Very good tire for my Nissan Rogue

I had 40000 on the le2 and received the Le3 today and it was a much smoother ride with better handling

Replaced le2 with 3

Had the Destination LE2 so I just bought the LE3. Great value for what your getting. A durable London lasting tire that rides well in all conditions.

So much better ride than my old tires. My Jeep is riding very comfortably. Good value for an all season tire.

New tires

This tire has good driving characteristics but they are the noisiest tires I have ever owned. They came newly installed when I bought this car.

Mixed Feelings

Went in to fix a flat and was told that I had to replace all 4 tires because the flat couldn't be fixed and they couldn't put a different tire on my car than the others. I asked for a less expensive tire but they only had 3 in stock. It was 5pm and they were closing at 7pm. I spent $1100 to fix a flat. STAY AWAY FROM FIRESTONE IN DANVERS MASS IF YOU'RE A WOMAN ALONE.

Strong armed

These are the best tires I have owned and I could not recommend them any more highly. I have a 2014 Subaru Forester that is about 50/50 city/highway driving. It rarely is on gravel and never off-road and never at the track (or driven like it is at the track.) Nearly all the miles are on dry pavement with occasional rain and very rare snow. All of the previous tires we have had on the Forester were much noisier - including Champion Fuel Fighter and FS All Season. We noticed how much less noise there was on the highway immediately. At 75-80 mph, there used to be so much noise that it wasn't comfortable to carry on a conversation - now it is fine. We have 15,000 miles on this set and it looks like they are going to wear *much* better than the previous tires - we still have over 8/32nds tread (starting at 10/32nds) meaning we are only a quarter of the way to 2/32nds (when they have to be replaced.) When I was shopping, the Destination LE3 kept coming up on the short lists (5-8 brands/offerings - LE3 being the only FS entry in the list) of the best tires for my car. Most of the others were quite a bit more expensive. The LE3s are the most expensive that FS offers for my car, but that is still only 50% more than Firestone's least expensive (and with how well they are wearing, they may actually cost less per mile to own.) I'm very happy and confident with their performance. I have a lifetime alignment at FS and I've felt that FS has been generous with prorating remaining mileage on the old tires when I get a new set. So 5 stars across the board and I could not be happier with these tires.
