This product will last you about 2 years. So decide if you want to spend $80 every 2 years OR $200 on a nicer one that will last 10 years. So now, I am into a waste disposal system for $280, when I really should have coughed up the extra money 2 years ago and bought the nicer one. But if your truly only looking to spend on the low end, this is a great system. Its functional and has good durability. I actually wish they sold the black inserts separately because that's the part that needs to be replaced. the plastic has broke into lots of little pieces.

Great product. Ease of use. We are able segregate trash in accordance to its recyclability. The stepper is a little bit sharp though, it's not cushioned with plastic so we are cautious whenever we pass through the bin. For families with little kids, have an alternative to either cover it with plastic to avoid cuts on your little ones. Overall, i am satisfied with the product.

I am happy so far with this trash / recycling can. My only con is that I wish there was a way to secure the bag to the can. When I put the bag on the pull out receptacle it is difficult to put the receptacle back in without the bag becoming undone around the rim. Other than that it functions very well for me. In the looks department it would have been nicer if they had put a more durable top to go with the look of the can rather than the cheesy plastic they used.

I ordered this as a trash/dog food container. The concept is there , but if I could change it I would want heavier gauge stainless , for this is thin, flimsy, and appears prone to dents. Also the bag size is odd. Standard kitchen size bags are to wide and they bunch up and slip off. I don't regret my purchase I just wish it was a little better quality.

Item was damaged when arrived. Returned it and got a second one which was also damaged. Frustrated because to return it I had to take it somewhere which required lifting and I had recent neck surgery. Would have been nice if I could have scheduled a fedex pick up but did not have the correct label

Trash can worked as anticipated for about 8 months, and then last week the step lever snapped off. I epoxied it back on, that held, but then the lever it is attached to snapped as well. Disappointed in the poor quality - it's metal on the outside but every moving part is cheap plastic. Of course the warranty is only 30 days, that's all it is built to last for.

I love this trashcan! I have been looking for a dual recycling/trash bin for my kitchen for quite some time period, but most of the ones I could find have very small compartments, and it’s a hassle to have to empty them out every other day. When I found this one, the dimensions were perfect for the space in my kitchen I wanted, and both sides of the container had quite a lot of room; so, I only have to empty my trash once a week and recycling maybe twice a week depending how much I have. I love the red! I had a red single trashcan in my kitchen before and I love the pop of colour, so I feel really lucky to find this one in this size in this colour. It’s great having the convenience of the recycling without looking like some ugly old container in the middle of the kitchen, the step mechanisms work great and it seems sturdily built. I’ve had it for about three weeks now, and I’ve told all of my friends about it. When the box arrived it was pretty beat up. It was delivered upside down despite having a “this side up” arrow on the packaging, but it was packaged really well with cushioning foam and another box inside, so there was no damage to the bin. Great combo bin!

Bought this trash can because I liked the idea of having a side for recyclables. I had our old one for over 7 years so I'm still adjusting to the change- my previous kitchen trash can was larger, sturdier and had a slow closing lid that I could lift with my hand if I didn't want to use the foot pedal. It was a higher quality product and you could easily tell. I'll allow some time to get used to it but eventually I may move this flimsier one to our lake house and bring back the old one. MIGHT recommend to a friend on a budget if they were more interested in saving $$$ than getting a longer lasting product.

love the color. foot petals and lids work great. Each sides individual bin is easy to remove for pulling out full bags and re-inserting bags. I took off one star because I wish the metal felt a little thicker/stronger. Concerned about it getting dinged and dented in my high traffic kitchen, only time will tell on that. But beside that, this is a great trash can. It goes great with all the red decor in my kitchen.

This can has been working for us for over a year now! Fantastic option for trash and recycle. The foot petals have survived my 4 childrens constant use. Absolutely recommend it! It looks good. It has served us well, and continues to be used everyday. I wiped down with a lysol wipe or a babywipe when needed.
