Nice product, good looking, works well. Really like the fact that the compartments for each bin are totally separate from each other. Any negatives? Minor ones...the stickers for the pedals are blah, the can sizes themselves could probably be a little bigger, and maybe a better way to hook the trash bags to the buckets. Overall though, very happy with the purchase!

This can has been working for us for over a year now! Fantastic option for trash and recycle. The foot petals have survived my 4 childrens constant use. Absolutely recommend it! It looks good. It has served us well, and continues to be used everyday. I wiped down with a lysol wipe or a babywipe when needed.

Very attractive. Very roomy. I love the buckets with handles. At first I thought the two sections seemed small but was very pleased and surprised how much they hold. I use a regular 13 gallon bag on the garbage side and nothing on the recycle side. Easy to carry with the handles to dump.

The size of this can fits perfectly and looks so much better than our old style can. It also is a benefit to have trash and recycling in one spot and easy to access. The construction is a little flimsy so it makes audible noise whenever you operate it, but holding up fine so far. The only other critique I have is that the lids can not be held open without your foot on the pedal. Our old style can would allow you to disengage the foot petal and keep the lid up for easier changing of the bag or dumping something larger into the trash. You also can't just reach over to pop it up and toss anything in - as the lid sits lower than the edge so you much always engage the pedal to open the can.

Love my new trash! I’m able to have in the open kitchen and it looks nice. Having the double bins is awesome for trash and one side recycle. The pedal and lid make it easy to throw things away with full hands. Being able to use the handle and remove the bin out comes in very handy to dump recycles. Definitely recommend. My only issue is I’m surprised it’s $100 for a trash barrel but compared to other websites i guess thats just what they are. I would have expected it to be around $60 range

It is nice quality and has great visual appearance. Two things I wish were different: 1. I wish the actual cans held more trash. It makes for frequent trips to take out the trash and uses a lot of bags. 2. I wish the handles on the internal bins were on the outside. When you put a bag in, the bag covers the handle, therefore you have to pull the bag up before you can use the handle to remove the internal bin. If those two things were corrected... this would be the perfect trash receptacle.

Fits great in my kitchen and doesn’t take up a lot of space. The handles make it easy to remove the cans except if you have a full trash bag, then it can be a little tricky. It is stainless steel so if you like to keep the sheen on your stainless steel appliances I suggest getting a stainless steel cleaning spray. Overall I would suggest the Step N Sort to any and everyone.

I was hoping to recycle more and thought having this would help. I was wrong. There are 2 problems with this. First the containers themselves are to small. When i purchased this i thought the 16 gal was per side, unfortunately it is for BOTH sides meaning the trash side is only 8 gal. I am used to a standard 13 gall kitchen can so i was emptying this one every day because it filled so fast. Secondly the design of the inside handle soon the pull out trash cans inside is poor. It does not fully side off to one side of the can so every time you pull out a full trash bag you have to fight to the trash past the handle. If you are the only person in your household and you do not us trash bags you may like this. It seems to be built well just too small and poor handle design for me. I would not recommend this for a family.

I ordered this as a trash/dog food container. The concept is there , but if I could change it I would want heavier gauge stainless , for this is thin, flimsy, and appears prone to dents. Also the bag size is odd. Standard kitchen size bags are to wide and they bunch up and slip off. I don't regret my purchase I just wish it was a little better quality.

I love it. I have a family of 4. We like yo recycle. It is a bit small but perfect for us because we take trash out nighly so nothing is lurking around for to long. So if you are looking for a full size double can this is not it. However if you are looking for a small bin to short plastic and glass or so on this is perfect.
