Even cooking, Fast heating, Versatile

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This is my first electric stove after very happily cooking with gas for 30 years. I have found it equally functional and effective as cooking with gas. Heats up quickly, adjusts temperature quickly and provides many different burner size options. Airfry feature in oven works as described and produces results like my countertop airfryer did.

A Solid Well Made Product

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This review is about the LG model LSEL6335F electric smooth top slide-in range. This range was a replacement for an 18-year-old Kitchen Aide electric smooth top which was considered the premium model when originally purchased. My comments are written for those who are reading reviews to consider purchasing this LG range model. That said, it’s hard to find anything critical to say about the model, its solidly build, with excellent fit, finish, and style. I rated it overall a “4” only because I have no experience with its reliability over an extended period. If it holds up, then I’d say it’s a “5”. We’ve used the range for only three weeks and have not yet used all its features. Here are my observations so far: • The range arrived in a heavy duty corrugated box. It was properly protected/supported inside the box so no in-transit damage occurred. Installation instructions are clear and easy to follow. • The construction of the range is heavy duty and of obvious high quality throughout. This applies to the range top, control knobs and touchpad, oven door, oven cavity, and the bottom drawer. • The bottom drawer slides are solid and easily operate. The drawer is a tad small as the available space was used for the cavernous oven. • The oven cavity glazing, and oven racks are of high quality. The oven light does a good job of filling the cavity. The oven door is solid and well balanced in operation. • We found the oven thermostat settings to be accurate and were spot on when preparing several familiar roasting and pastry bake recipes. • The oven fan runs continuously and provides very even roasting/baking. We did notice frozen pizza cook times about 10% quicker. The fan exhausts some heat through the right-side vent trim at the rear of the cooktop when the oven is in operation. • The oven cavity box is very well insulated and it takes noticeably longer to cool down than the range it replaced. I assume this adds to energy efficiency/savings during a bake. • When you turn the oven on, it takes 8 minutes to hit 350 and 10 minutes to hit 400. • Roasting spatters easily wipe off the interior oven glazing and interior window with a soapy dish washing cloth. We have not tried the oven cleaning features as nothing has baked on yet. It’s really easy to wipe out the oven due to no exposed heating elements on the floor of the oven cavity. • Touch controls are easy to use and intuitive when programming. It does take a firm touch to input data on the touch pad compared to the old range. • The cooktop dials are smooth in operation and also feel solid in use. The lock out feature is a must to keep children from turning on the easily reached controls for the cooktop and oven. • In hindsight, we should have purchased the model with backlite knobs as it is difficult to see the knob settings without a lot of light. The knobs are in a relatively upright position which causes this to be a problem in low light. • The glass cooktop is set in a deep enough recess that a pot boil over will not run over and down the sides of the cooktop. Cleanup of the glass cooktop is also very easy. • Burners heat quickly when turned to the full power setting. • The vent trim at the rear of the cook top cannot be removed for cleaning without pulling the range away from the wall and removing several screws. Cooking spatter collects under/inside the vent trim and is difficult to clean out. This is my only criticism so far. I would agree with the favorable comments provided by other reviewers of this model. The design, features, and construction were well thought out and implemented in manufacturing. It’s a great product to use and is definitely and upgrade from our old range.

Great features!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I've been using this stove for about a month and find the features to be beneficial and easy to use. Easily connected the wifi capability with the LG app. Used the air fryer for frozen fries (tossed with seasonings first) and a casserole-type stuffed butternut squash. Both turned out great and the air fryer tray was easy to clean. I received a notification via the LG app that the oven needed cleaning. Since it wasn't heavily soiled, I used the Easy Clean function and was surprised at how easy it was. This is my third glass-topped stove so I knew what to expect and how to clean it. I like the various burner-size choices that are offered on the front two burners. I also like the "time's-up" beep; nice and gentle! I do find is it's easy to activate a burner if I brush up against a control knob, so I have to make sure I don't have anything sitting on the burners.

A mixed bag. Good performance, Poor design choices

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'd give it 3.5 stars if I could. The good: the oven cook very evenly, unlike our prior one. Having a built-in Air Fryer capability is nice, although compared to our countertop unit we need to set the temperature about 50 degrees higher to get the same amount of crisp. The neutral: The burners seem to take longer to heat up than our prior range, and I wish at least one of the rear burners was larger. The unit needs a large air space behind it, which pushes the front of the range far beyond the front of the cabinets next to it. The not-so-good: Ergonomically, it's kind of a mess. The black on chrome lettering on the knobs is very hard to read, and the tiny icons to indicate whether you're using the small, medium or large burner elements are almost impossible to see. And the surface of the rangetop seems fragile. Our prior range was at least 8 years old, and the cooktop was pretty much like new. The LG is already showing some marks that won't posligh out after only a couple of weeks. I expected better. Oh, and why do you include the basket for air frying, but not the rack the basket fits in? And why, if I choose to buy the rack, do I also have to get another basket? The rack should be included. At a minimum, it should be a cheap accessory that doesn't come with a second basket.

Great features

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really like this range because it eliminates having to have a separate air fryer or convection oven. The burners heat quickly and has the extra warming burner. The design is nice and I like the blue oven.

Cleaning is a breeze

Wed have had our stove for a month now and we couldn't be more pleased. We traded our gas stove for the LG as the gas stove was so difficult to lift the heavy grates to constantly clean. Now a quick wipe of the glass top and it's extra clean. Oven temp is perfect, and the dials and settings are easy to use and understand. The cooktop is super-fast and directs the heat right to the pan. Air fryer is so much better and healther as well. Kudos to LG.

We love our range and we love LG!

We bought a complete LG suite for our recently updated kitchen because we've had LG products previously and we LOVE them. This slide-in range has a contemporary feel due to its low profile. It is beautiful and performs perfectly. I always test a new oven with an oven thermometer and this oven. Note: you need to preheat about 6mins beyond the "preheat" audible indicator. This is usually due to the sensors in the oven being placed above the middle of the oven. Waiting 6 mins has been right on for me and the oven then does a nice job of maintaining your set temp. I highly recommend!

Cooks well Cook top hard to maintain,

Enjoy the new oven. It is very pretty. Cooking on top of stove is good. I find the glass top very hard to keep clean. It smudges very easily. My last stove was 30 year old glass top and the top still looked good. I find my cookware, which meets the criteria in manual, seems to leave marks very easily, but do come out. I clean with cooktop cleaner with either paper towels or recommended cleaning pads, depending on need. The blue oven is pretty but shows grease and spots easily. I have used the easy clean option several times. The air fryer is very high maintenance, very greasy. The stove only came with a basket and did not have the accompanying pan. I have some lard cookie sheet type pans and none of them are large emough to cover entire basket.

Love the Range, but.....

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I really do love this range. The only negative thing I have to report on is The range when set to bake does not regulate the temperature correctly.. An example is when you set the temperature to 425 the oven gets up to 475.. I have yet to attempt to recalibrate that following the instructions but for now I bought a oven temperature gauge And I keep a close eye on that

Everything we wanted

We purchased this range based on Consumer Reports reviews and we’re very pleased. We especially like the air fry feature. We need to stay ahead of keeping the cooktop clean or it can become difficult. We’re also thankful for the child lockout feature, having grandchildren in the house and it prevents us from bumping a knob and accidentally turning a burner on. It’s a sleek design and we’re very happy.
