Good lunch/snack choice

Great flavor but the pie has an inconsistent amount of ingredients. Sometimes I get no gravy at all and sometimes the pie is literally filled with gravy. Some chunks of chicken doesn't taste like chicken at all, instead it's basically rubber. If you buy this make sure that you cook the pie at least 20-30 seconds more than the recommended time. The gravy starts to harden at around six minutes, but it may sometimes take longer. I have had two experiences where when I cut open the top of the pie, the inside was completely watery. Not gonna be eating gravy that has the consistency of water!

Chicken pie

Too much sodium; too much fat; little flavor; below the top crust the pie was half empty and didn't resemble the photo on the box; in a regular oven the bottom crust didn't fully cook; very few pieces of chicken or vegetables; I repeat...Too much sodium.

Practically Tasteless!

I seldom buy convenience foods, and this pot pie is a prime reason why: all crust, not much filling, precious little chicken, and almost zero flavor. I stand in amazement that a company would produce such a terrible product, much less have the nerve to charge for it! I've never bought anything by Marie Callender before, and certainly won't be buying anything else. If I lived near their company headquarters, I'd make them a chicken pot pie so they'd know what one tastes like. But frankly, I doubt they'd care--or they wouldn't have put this thing (I can't really call it food) on the market to begin with. Simply amazing!!

Very good!

Your chicken pot pies make a delicious, quick lunch. The meat and veggies are tender when cooked according to directions. I would like a few more veggies in them. Certainly doesn't have the amount of veggies pictures on the carton. Still it is flavorful and satisfying.

Almost nothing but gravy and crust

When a few months ago I bought two (2) Marie Callenders small chicken pot pie I was excited because all other products from this company was good. I paid double what I could have paid for another pot pie from another company but I thought if like the other Marie Callenders products it would be delicious. Actually the taste was delicious, the gravy fantastic, but in my husbands pot pie and in mine we had three (3) or four (4) pieces of white chicken, no other meat, and three (3) pieces of rubbery carrot and a few pcs. of another veg. at this time I don't remember what. It was mostly gravy and crust not worth the money I paid for it. I was really dissappointed. I just saw on tv a Marie Callender commerical chicken pot pie and I felt that I must let you know of my experience.

Not So Good This Time

After enjoying Marie Callender's chicken pot pies for many years, today's pie was a big disappointment. Only the crust was good. In side were about 4 pieces of not-so-good chicken, 8 peas and i slice of carrot. The rest was gravy. Even my small appetite was not satisfied. Obviously, quality control did not work in this case.

Great tasting pie and so easy to heat up

I do have an 1100 watt microwave oven and followed the directions and left the pie in for 10 minutes and then let it stand for another 5 minutes. The amount of protein was really satisfying. The taste is great, and the crust was flaky and golden brown as advertised. I believe I would try heating it around 8 minutes though because it seemed a bit dry. Maybe a little more peas and carrots and celery might have helped to thin the gravy and make it juicier. I will buy it again. It is so good. Thank you.

Dry and small

Marie Callender has fantastic restaurants with wonderful food selections; and what they are most famous for is their pies. This frozen, pot pie is a real disappointment. It was dry (no liquid), the cruse tasted "doughy" and bland. It took me 7 bites and it was gone. They have a large selection of frozen food items that are really good, substantial portions and tasty. It really is not up to their standards, why sell this?? I expect a lot more from Marie Callendar.

A few problems with Marie's Pot Pie

Bought two Chicken Pot Pies. One had no carrots in it at all only peas and the other had carrets and peas. The one without carrots was smaller and did not look the same. Both box numbers were identical in everyway. Do you have packaging problems? Was not sure if he should eat it or not as it was not the same. My Husband did, so far so good. He said it tasted ok, just was not as big a pot pie as mine and no carrots. Why - wonder if I will buy again. We like pot pies just not too sure now.

Cooking Chicken Pot Pie in the microwave

I recently purchased the above item and the followed the new instructions of how to cook the pot pie in its container, removing the top portion of the box. I used the recommended time and let it sit for the recommended time. When I turned the pot pie over on my plate, the bottom was still raw. I attempted to cook it more and it got worse. I finally had to dry it up by placing it into the toaster-oven. I have never had a problems with any of your products and was very disappointed in this meal. I still have another one in my freezer and will cook it entirely in the over - which is not very convenient.

We're so sorry! We checked with our home economists and they suggest raising the pie off the bottom of the microwave while cooking by placing the carton and pie on an upside down microwave-safe plate. This should help with the undercooked crust. We do appreciate you taking the time to share this review with us and we hope you'll continue to enjoy our products. Thank you!
