We took theGB1000 with us camping over 4th of July weekend to use at our family reunion cook out. The GB1000 kept our hot food at safe temperatures for well over 4 hours. This was a pleasure because in the past we always overloaded the campsites electrical capacity and ended up juggling which foods were was able to be kept warm at one time., and never had to worry about blowing fuses as we have in the past years.

Keep in mind that I had a crockpot and other electronics attached to the power station.The display is big enough where you can see how much juice you have left. I plan to take it on my next camping trip as well.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We own a Generac generator for emergencies in our home and it's been a lifesaver so we trusted the Generac name when purchasing a portable power source to have on hand. I went with the new GB1000 because it seemed to offer just enough power but in a real portable way. I really like the compact size and weight of this unit. The large LED screen comes in handy. There are multiple ways to charge it, although the actual process of charging was quite noisy. The onboard storage for the cable is a nice feature and just one of the things that sets this unit above others. It provided all the on-the-go power we needed in an easy-to-use capacity.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The last couple years have highlighted how important it is for Texans to have backup power in the event of grid failure, and unfortunately traditional generators are highly expensive, come with major risks if used improperly, and are highly inconvenient for apartment dwellers or other folks with limited space. Thankfully there are products like this one that can provide zero-emission backup power in a small, user-friendly, and portable format with just about every kind of connection you could ask for. This thing is also great outside of grid failures for things like camping and tailgating, so it's well worth the investment (which is far less expensive than a traditional gas powered generator).

It charges in a timely fashion, going from 22% when unboxed to a full 100% in about 2 1/2 hours. It comes with an AC charge cord, a car charger cord, and a solar adapter cord. The user's manual is quite detailed and very helpful, with included charts on the estimated operating time for various devices.

The Generac 1000 power station has been a great product to help run the lights and fans we need to help till electricity is back on. Charging the station is quick and the run power is long. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received this portable power station around a couple weeks ago, and I took it with me to multiple events and tailgates, using it as the main power “system” to power all my AC and DC devices, like portable electric grills and phone chargers. This power bank provides a ton of really awesome features, such as a headlight that allows visibility in darker conditions, and a lit up LED screen that allows you to visualize just about how much time you have left remaining for juice. The only real gripe I have is the build quality and materials used. I feel like for being a portable power station, there should be a bit more ruggedness around the whole box. A lot of plastic components around the faces of the devices are exposed, with what feels like little rubber protection on corners and different grooves of the device. However, if you’re careful with the device, it feels like it can hold through for many years. In my opinion, this added a ton of value to my tailgates, and now provide an easy way to provide fast power to any “off-the-grid” areas you may run into.

Picked up the new GB1000 and the box seemed super heavy. Once I pulled the unit from the packaging it was still a bit heavy but so small and easy to carry, even for an older gal like me! Plugged it in to charge up and it only took a couple of hours to fully charge. Then we used it to power our Christmas Tree and holiday music for the day! The best things about this power source are that it is totally silent, safe to use indoors, and it is safe to have around pets! My husband says, "best present ever!" I intended to use this as a night time power source for electronics in the event of a power outage when I did not want to run a loud generator through the night. The output this thing is capable of is amazing. My family of 4 was able to watch tv, keep our phones charged and take care of emails without issue. The display screen makes consumption management easy and the controls are very intuitive. This will be a constant companion for camping trips and is a staple in our emergency management supply stash.
