The knives are very sharp and we like that it came with a knife sharpening stone built into the actual knife storage block, and I know you guys have seen the commercials about these knives and they actually work like how they work on TV they are absolutely amazing.

This set is stunning, very modern design and I just can't keep my eyes off it. Best knife set I ever had, hands down and honestly I probably won't need one for very long time. I have sliced veggies this morning and really enjoyed cooking lol very smooth blades and very safe for use built in sharpener, it's really great! Love everything about this set, just perfect for everyday use. It's definitely an investment considering the price but so worth it on the long run because quality is impressive. I been telling my husband im a kitchen ninja now because experience with this knifes make me feel like one. I cook a lot, everyday and I appreciate how much easier it is now to chop things up! I have this knife set for 2,5 years now and it's absolutely amazing, like a new set still!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have owned many knife sets throughout the year's and can honestly say this is the best so far. The metal of the knife is full length all the way through the handle and the rivets securely hold the handles in place. The signature colors of black and silver on the knifes and the base unit match other Ninja products that we have in our kitchen creating a pleasing color match. I have to honestly say I was disappointed with the addition of a knife sharpener in the storage unit, first impression - it is a gimmick. It was hard to operate and I did not understand the science of how it works. After watching the online video and re-reading the instructions, watching the operation of the sharpening stone did I realize how it works. You have to follow instructions and move the handle all the way up and all the way down, no stopping. The sharpening actions actually occurs on the downward stroke as you can see through the translucient window on the side. It actually worked! The knifes are so sharp you really have to be carefull when cutting as a careless error can be awful. Would have been nice for the knife handles to have a little more texture for ease of gripping. The sharpener is not a gimmick, really does work but does not replace a sharpening steel to get that really fine cutting edge. Gets my vote!

Ninja has very thorough videos on the NeverDull knife system and the safe use of the sharpener. I highly recommend taking a few minutes to view the videos to properly use and care for these knives. The knife block included with the set has a built in sharpening stone to keep your knives sharp. It also looks great on your counter! You won't use the sharpener for a while because these knives arrive very sharp. They are nicely balanced and easily take care of every cooking task. I've used them on vegetables from green beans to butternut squash. They handle everything I've tried. I was really impressed with the ease of cutting up a butternut squash. It is recommended to use a wood or plastic cutting board to keep your knives sharp. I expect to use these knives for a very long time.

Reading the insert was helpful. I was excited to try. I went to the fridge and got out various products to slice and dice. It was amazing the knife cuts. It makes you feel like a professional chef. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] True Ninja Upon opening this set I first noticed the sleek design and how the block itself fits on my tiny apartment counter top. I'm not a real chef just a married woman trying to make it in this crazy world. I got this knife set to maybe make myself believe I can cook better with the 5" Santoku knife, or maybe the 6 piece steak knifes I could have a fancy party and serve steak. (Finally) Let's be real here I used the 8" chef knife to cut a pineapple. One cut, no up and down, no side to side. Ninja status achieved. I always wondered why they named there product that. Now im slicing away at everything. I even cut a blueberry in half, just because I could. There was no juice, a clean crime scene if you ask me. I sliced a tomato so thin with the 5" knife, it was scary. I can't believe how great this knife set really is. Also the built in knife sharper, holy cannoli people this thing is a work of art. I tried it out with the 8" knife just to say I've sharpened a knife. Once I pulled the level up and down it was like butter. I pulled the knife out and I swore I heard the sound like when ninjas pull big samurai swords out. I am and forever will be a ninja thanks to this sleek and precision design of this 12 piece never dull knife set.

It's so appealing to look at because of the clean lines and color scheme they chose. Second - these knives are SHARP and stay sharp! I haven't used the sharpener yet because I haven't had a need to. I love the variety of knives and that it comes with kitchen shears so I don't have to wonder around my kitchen trying to find some.
