This is a 12piece set, a knife block with never dull technology, 8" chief knife, 5" santoku knife, 5" utility knife, 3.5" pairing knife, shears, and 6pieces 4.5" steak knives. This also includes the manual which tells you more about sharpening techniques. The knife block sticks good on the counter. Really nice to make sure that cats won't be able to knock them down. The never dull technology is an easy to use foolproof system that features a built in stone sharpening wheel that will constantly sharpen your blades with just a few swipes of the lever. Knives are perfectly balanced. This was designed to feel like it's just an extension of your hand. It has full tang durability, and a very comfortable grip which is what I needed most. It also has premium half bolster, for easy grip. This is a German stainless steel which is known for rust resistant. Just one thing to remember, don't wash these in the dishwasher to maintain optimal sharpness.

I will volunteer as tribute if you ever release a full size oven range (preferably gas). But that's besides the point. These knives are great. I have been needing an upgrade from my knife block set I've had since college. I love that it comes with a knife sharpener that's easy to use and helps to keep your knives from dulling. With any set of knives the key to longevity is always the care for them, washing and drying immediately as well as sharpening - this knife block makes it so easy to keep up with the last step, I even love that the sharpening tool is stone (my favorite sharpening tool of choice). The selection of prep knives and steak knives are perfect. Overall if you're looking for a new set of knives go with Ninja, they never cease to amaze with their quality of products.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] What an awesome set of knives! These Ninja™ Foodi™ NeverDull™ Premium Knives has two sharpen spots for different large and small knives. I love the large knife for cutting potatoes and apples because it doesn't stick to the knife. The knife cuts with ease for and even cut on the potatoes. Any cutting task is now easier with these knives. Only thing I don't like is that the set has to shapen often which I don't like.

I'm so in love with my new Ninja never dull essential knife set. First off I love how sharp these knives are and the fact that they stay sharp for 10 years is just amazing I especially like the built-in knife sharpener however, I don't believe however ever need it since these knives stay sharp for 10 years all of my food prep time has been greatly decreaseddue to how wonderful these knives perform, I highly recommend these to anyone and everyone who prepares food at home. These are amazing.

Ninja has very thorough videos on the NeverDull knife system and the safe use of the sharpener. I highly recommend taking a few minutes to view the videos to properly use and care for these knives. The knife block included with the set has a built in sharpening stone to keep your knives sharp. It also looks great on your counter! You won't use the sharpener for a while because these knives arrive very sharp. They are nicely balanced and easily take care of every cooking task. I've used them on vegetables from green beans to butternut squash. They handle everything I've tried. I was really impressed with the ease of cutting up a butternut squash. It is recommended to use a wood or plastic cutting board to keep your knives sharp. I expect to use these knives for a very long time.
