Batteries are interchangeable with other Worx products. Loved the Weed eater so decided to take a chance on the lawn mower. Easy to put together. It It is easy to start, lightweight and easy to push. Wonderful for someone in their 60''s.

Good enough to buy thrice!

Order arrived quickly and well-packaged; it was easy and quick to assemble the mower. I already had one, so I knew what needed to be done. And the mower works perfectly.

Not so good

The mower provides convenience being that it's operates on battery. However, it does not provide enough power to lift up grass to cut. Longer stems of grass that are horizontal does not get cut.

Good lawnmower

I have a fair amount of lawn to cut does all. I don’t cut my grass to short and try not to run over anything to wrack blade .The blade is not thick. I really like it.

Seriously under powered. Buy something else.

I bought this Worx WG779 mower to replace an eleven year old 12 inch electric mower. Earlier in the year, I had purchased a Worx trimmer that I am very pleased with, so I thought the Worx mowers would perform well. PROS: Minimal easy assembly out of the box. Lightweight and easy to maneuver in tight spaces. Sweeps clean after use. Battery charges in a reasonable amount of time and battery life is good. Charge indicators are great. Grass bag is sturdy and easy to empty. CONS: Seriously under powered. When the mower is first turned on it runs at a speed I would expect to use cutting grass, however the power level drops after a few seconds. It is much louder than I had expected at the high speed and about the same noise level as my electric mower when running at the low speed. The Worx mower will cut dry sparse grass in one pass, but requires two or three passes on lush grass or in slightly damp spots. The product details state this mower features IntelliCut technology, but there was NO increase in torque when moving the mower from thin to thick grass. The mower did effectively bag the grass clippings. This Worx mower did not even come close to cutting a small lawn as efficiently as my old electric mower, which is on its last legs. Needless to say, I am extremely disappointed with the Worx WG779 mower and regret the purchase.

Small

I bought this for my son because he has a small section of grass behind his townhome that he’s responsible for because it’s fenced in. When it operates, it really doesn’t cut the grass cleanly. I would say it just kind of tears it not really impressed when it’s operation.

I call it my "Homeowner Barbie" bubble mower.

I've had this fine specimen for 3 years now. I have a fairly small lawn. The batteries, when I first got them, usually lasted the whole whole 5,000 ft. That's front and back of my house. Lately, and it's been 3 years, it doesn't quite make it to the whole 5000 square feet. I think that isn't unreasonable. The batteries do get hot and can't be charged until they cool down. The charger will flash red, meaning they are too hot and need to wait. I wouldn't say they charge in an hour, more like a couple. I have other worx products that I use to trim etc to fill that time until it's ready to go again. The blade is simple to take off, but I don't have the right tool for sharpening the blade, so I've bought a couple new ones. I'd recommend the other tools that work with the same batteries. As long as you have enough, I have five that have come with my other tools, I don't have a problem. For a small yard, I would recommend this mower. It is adorable and your neighbors will be amused.

Battery keeps dying

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I loved it last summer when I bought it (I live in Canada and only mow in the summer). It’s lightweight, convenient, I could do my whole yard in one go with one recharge. This year, I have to fully recharge the batteries at least once (sometimes twice) to do my yard. And it’s a small yard, I have a small house in the suburbs. So basically this lawn mower lasted for ONE summer and is now virtually unusable because it’s so inconvenient to mow my lawn over two mowing session (leaving time in between to recharge). I wish I had known that before spending the money. I’m so disappointed because I liked it so much otherwise.

null

Let's start with the picture; it does not show eco or boost modes. Second, the battery life is maybe 30 minutes. If you want to use this mower, be prepared to spend three days mowing your lawn unless you have a very small lawn. Anytime I went through thicker grass, it would stall and shut off. If you buy this and have a decent-sized yard, you will need at least four batteries. The things I like are its very lightweight design and ease of use.
