I haven't used Downy April Fresh in years. It used to be my favorite but there was a change to the formula and I tried others. I decided to give it another go as I was tired of my current scent and bought these beads. Wow, they actually smell bad. I can't describe it, but it's toward the end of the scent, it's sort of sweet and sour, it's definitely not fresh.

This product leaves anything you wash smelling amazing. I love using this on my sheets to keep them smelling fresher for longer. While I love the smell of clean laundry having the option to change it up with a more floral sent is nice. I received a free sample of this product.

I absolutely love these! I've tried products like these in the past that smell amazing in the package and don't smell once they actually touch the clothes. These had just enough amount of scent to smell, but nothing over powerful. I would definitely buy these again. *I tested these for free, but all opinions are my own!

I am new to in was fresheners and I really love the concept. These smell so fresh and amazing. I only used a portion of the recommended amount. Although the scent in the end was not as strong in this case, I was happy with the results. I received a free sample of this product to review.

I received downy protect beads for free through influenster* all opinions are my own. I am currently training for a marathon and I live in gym clothes. We all know how yucky and stinky we can get after a workout. I tried these beads to keep my clothes smelling fresh after being washed. Some detergents and fabric softeners don't get rid of odor, only seem to mask it. But downy beads kept my clothes feeling soft and odor free :) will definitely purchase more

When I did my first load of laundry with this scent, he actally came in the laundry room before the washer finished to see what smelled so good! We really enjoy this product and scent and he's very picky about his scents - manly man approved!! ♡

I washed my clothes with these beads about a week ago, I am wearing a dress from that load of laundry today and it still smells amazing. I really enjoy the scent and it definitely lasts, and it makes your clothes feel extra fresh, especially in this gross summer heat. I would definitely buy these. I tested the product for free, but the opinions are all my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads when washing the bed sheets and sofa throws. I really enjoyed being able to pour the beads in and not worry about waiting until the rinse cycle. I also love how fluffy and refreshed our sheets and throws felt. There really is nothing like cuddling up with warm freshly washed sheets and drifting off in to a cozy sleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like Downy products and have never heard of this product before. I was confused about the "directions." It says it's an in-wash odor shield and to put in the washer at the beginning. I honestly wasn't sure if I was still supposed to use detergent and fabric softener. I did 2 loads of laundry and used half the pouch for each. The first load was towels and only put in this product, no detergent. The 2nd loads was clothes, so I did detergent, fabric softer and this product. In the end, everything came out clean and smelled fine. I honestly don't know if I would ever purchase this product in the future. Between detergent, fabric softener and a dryer sheet, this seems like an extra expense that isn't necessary.

We usually use all free and clear products in our home due to allergies. I was able to drop a small amount (about 1/2 the recommended dose) of the in wash odor shield to give a small amount of fragrance to our clothes with out bothering allergy sufferers.
