The first use I made the mistake of adding in too much product and it was a bit overpowering, but even with the stronger scent it does a good job of keeping bad scents down to acceptable levels.

This product is amazing! Just throw a capful of the scent beads in the wash, add your clothes, and you're done! This product has a lasting fragrance that lasts throughout the day. The scent beads leave your clothes smelling like fresh clean spring laundry...what can be better than that?!!! Loved this product. Can't wait to try the other scents. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I am a HUGE fan of fabric softener/scenters, I always fill my washer's holder for softener all the way full to maximize the fresh scent for as long as possible, so I wanted to wait to review the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads Botanical Mist until the laundry had been put away for a time to see if it still smelled as good as it did the first day. The scent is flowery and sweet, while still smelling "clean" as opposed to perfumed. Pulling my clothes from the washer to put in the dryer, the smell was very noticeable, I used my regular dryer sheet (Kirkland) and hoped for the best when the clothes were dried. The clothes STILL smell great 2 weeks later, even though the scent isn't nearly as strong as it was on the first day, but it is still very present and delightful, I can smell the difference in a shirt washed with the Downy Beads vs. my standard softener (also Downy) The only disappointment I have is that I bought a brand new bottle of softener right before trying these beads and now I have a feeling I will buy the beads and nothing else. This scent/softener is so drastically better that I am willing to make the switch after only one try! This is something every person would enjoy, I just can't say how much I love this stuff enough!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Love the Tide Pods, however the Downy Fresh Beads are awesome. My son works long hours which means he is on his feet for 18 hours a day. When he comes home from a long day from work and takes his shoes and socks off - WATCH OUT HERE COMES THE ODOR. Before trying the Downy Fresh Beads, I used regular dryer sheets and it got the odor out but it did not give it the same fresh smell as the Downy Fresh Beads. I figured it should work on his white undershirts, especially the arm pit area. WOW, if a product like this can remove that kind of odor, its a keeper.

I love these beads, they make your laundry smell amazing! while washing my clothes, the entire floor of my house smelled wonderful. Highly recommend and will purchase more! I received the Downy Fresh Protect Beads sample package for free, but all opinions are my own.

I received these Downy in-wash beads for free to try and review from Influenster and I have to say that I have mixed feelings about them. They do have a very powerful scent after washing, almost too powerful! I can't notice that the scent is still there after a second washing right now, but I don't know if it's supposed to be either. I would definitely try them again with something extra stinky for a little boost, but not for everyday use.

I love how it smells and makes the room smell heavenly after doing laundry. Having that feeling of fresh laundry is unbeatable and I always feel clean after using these. I always get compliments that I smell good and people get surprised when I tell them it Downy. Definitely recommend this product. I tested this product for free but my opinions are my own!
