My family immediately noticed a difference in the scent of our clothes when I tried the Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh beads in the wash! The scent is refreshing and they were so easy to use. All I had to do was pour it straight into the washing machine with the detergent & the clothes came out smelling amazing. Being from a trusted brand like Downy, I really had no doubts about the quality of this product. I knew I'd probably like it, but had no idea how magnificent it would smell! When I first opened the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads, it was overwhelming, but obviously when added to a load of my husband's and sons' foul smelling garments, it toned down. Almost so much that I thought their grossness broke the beads. Once the clothes were added to the dryer, it was like a little slice of heaven. Everyone of my sons asked me what smelled so good. And when my husband walked in the door he too commented on the smell. Clothes have been in the drawers a couple days now and still smell great when I get them out. Everyone in my house has decided that we need to get more.

I love the smell of this product! I was lucky enough to be given this product complimentary to sample and I am in love. I have always loved the beads that you pour into laundry and i typically use Gain but I like this scent a lot more! I think this is my new favorite laundry product.

I love the scent of Downy April Fresh and love these beads! They leave every load of laundry smelling great - including our rugs and gym clothes! I can smell the scent for days after using them! I tested the Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are mine.

I threw clothes in the washer and sprinkled these wonderful little beads on top... I shut the door and started the machine... Almost instantly the whole room filled with the wonderful smell. My clothes seem more soft and smell delightful. I have now replaced my normal liquid fabric softener (Downy Clean/April Fresh) with these fresh and protect beads.

I have always been really skeptical to the additives for washing your clothes. I tend to use a bargain brand detergent from big box stores and that usually does the trick. I was excited to give these a try and I'm so glad I did! I was sent some to try in return for an honest review and have since purchased a bottle of my own. They smell fantastic and actually do add so much to the scent, cleanliness, and protection of our clothes! This is particularly helpful during the summer months! I would definitely recommend this product!

Everyone loves the smell of fresh laundry, right? I had only ever used dryer sheets and thought that was enough. Now that I have tried out the Downy In-Wash Odor Shield, I'm hooked - my laundry stayed smelling fresh and clean for days and the smell did not fade at all like with dryer sheets. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the scent of these beads. Going into the dryer the smell was a little strong but had calmed down alot coming out. I washed my workout clothes and my kids play clothes with it and it really did keep down the smell. It can't block it all the way but if you sweat alot then this is something you should really think about buying.
