The smell was so strong as soon as I opened the package. After washing my clothes, smell was so good! I worked out at the gym, the next day, and the smell was still there. Best fabric softener I have ever used! I tested Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was worried when adding these to my wash, I didn't get the concept of the beads...i thought it was going to be something i'd have to clean out of the bottom of the washer when it was done, I thought they were just scent beads that released a scent when wet and then stayed in bead form....nope i was wrong, they are like little beads of fabric softner, if that makes sense. The smell was very pleasant, I'm not sure if they block odor per-say, but they deff help cover any kind of funk up! You just toss these bad boys in and forget you ever did, untill you grab a shirt to put on, pull it over your head and you're instantly transformed into a beautiful garden!!! okay, so that's maybe a big drastic, but it deff smells like you're standing in a botanical garden. I'll take that over closet must anyday! The scent seems to last for a few days, which helps when the laundry is in the basket waiting to be washed....I recommend the downy fresh beads....they didn't leave a residue on my clothes at all, and i didn't have to clean out the washer when it was said and done! I don't really have a complaint about these at all....5 *'s

I got this product free to try in a trial box and I'm really glad that it was brought to my attention. Especially with the summer months, I'm always looking for something to help keep my clothes from getting really smelly or sweaty. I tried the Downy Fresh Protect Beads, and so far my clothes seem to smell good! I haven't done any intense physical activity yet, but so far so good! I will definitely continue to use them. There is no strong odor left behind, but my clothes smell fresh! I'm so glad I got to try out this product for free, but don't worry, these opinions are all my own!

In general I love these beads! The downy ones are my favorite! They give my laundry that extra boost I need to make them smell good but the smell isn't too strong where it's Over powering! I did test these out for free but my opinions of this product are my own!

So I already use Downy liquid fabric softener and that it self is AMAZING. So I received the Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh as a free product for testing services and so far so good! The smell is amazing. These remind of the Downy Unstoppables. I get really worried about these products fading my clothes. I am the person that follows the care instructions on each clothing items and my clothes lasts for years. So to sum it up great product, I'm glad I received 3 samples to really get to use it!

I have always used liquid fabric softner. I was a little iffy to try them but they were great! They dissolved with no problem in cold water and left a wonderful fragrance in my clothes. I had clothes in my closet for over a week and I could still smell the lovely smell of the Downy beads. I would definately reccomend them to anyone. And I will be purchasing them in the future.

Downy Fresh Protect With Febreze April Fresh In-Wash Odor Defense Beads, 30.3 oz. I love this product. I don't know why my sins clothes smell like a wet dog but they do. I bought these to help with the odor. They work really well. Your clothes smell fresh for days.

Are these cute little beads safe? I found out the answer. YES, safe as can be and they make your laundry smell amazing. As soon as I ripped open the pouch I could smell the clean fresh scent. The clothes smelled terrific once cleaned. And my son smelled terrific when he wore them. The Beads were very simple to use - I added them to the washing machine at the same time I added detergent. The beads act as a deodorant for clothes when you wear them. I recommend the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads for any sort of laundry. I find it particularly helpful for an additional type of odor protection for active teenagers.
