I have a Division 1 sports child that has been home for a month and hasn't done laundry yet. This certainly couldn't hurt and the horrendous smell of her sports clothes was awful. Well I was positive I was going to have to wash these clothes twice, but remembered my free samples and opened one and through it in. Well these clothes that I didn't have much hope for came out smelling fabulous. If you have sports in your house these are a necessity..I received my samples for free and am thrilled with the outcome.

I am obsessed!! The smell lasts and lasts and thankfully it smells so good. I loved getting a whiff randomly through the day! I always washed with comforter and had it lasting 2 weeks! I received the product for free to review but all opinions are my own

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] If amazing had a scent, it would be this. It smell absolutely incredible. My laundry smell so good and it lasted for a while! Comparing that load to others was really what showed the difference. The load that was washed with the Beads smelled better and fresher than the loads that didn't. I gave it 4 stars because it really is just like air freshener for clothes. I doesn't seem practical for every load of laundry to use these. But, it will make it smell very good. I might use this product as a once in a while, "laundry treat", if you will. But probably not every load. It does smell amazing, though!

I grew up with my mom using Downey products. I use the fabric softener and dryer sheets. I have never tried to scent beads until I receive them in my influence vox. I did receive them to test for free and give an honest opinion on them. I use them in my workout clothes and they came out smelling amazingly fresh and the classic April fresh scent reminded me of my mom hanging laundry when I was a child. This brought it brought back a lot of good memories and is definitely something that I will buy from now on as part of my laundry products . The Scent has lasted about seven days in my closet and is still fresh.

I was hoping that I would be able to enjoy jumping into bed every night and having great smelling sheets. I have seen them advertised on tv and it said you will have long lasting scents. It probably lasted about 3 days and the scent was gone. I was a little disappointed it didn't last longer!

I LOVED the Downy In wash odor shield beads! They were so easy to use. They smell amazing and I could definitely tell a difference in the softness of my towels versus before I used the beads. Amazing product! *I received this product for free in exchange for my honest review.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I like the idea of Downy® Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield. I used this to wash a load of laundry with m regular non scented detergent. I found the scent to be too overpowering maybe if it was a lighter more subtle scent I would enjoy it better. This scent reminded me of how a car air freshener is after just opening it. Too overpowering.

I love downy April Fresh and how long your clothes smell fresh. I've used these in my washer for clothes and also in my wax melt to freshen the room and the entire house smells like clean laundry. I received this product complimentary, all opinions expressed are my own.

I tried these on my sheets to see if the odor shield claim was accurate and I think they truly did smell fresher longer than without this product. The smell is wonderful and I didn't notice any negative effects. I received this product free for testing purposes. All opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I'm not sure "odor shield" is the right title for this product...more like "overpower your garments with a raging torrent of fragrance." The recommended amount per load seems to be about 1/3 cup...I was leary of using that much, and I'm glad I was—one single teaspoon is enough to do the trick, and then some. If you've got a particularly stinky load to do, (gym clothes, etc.), this might be helpful. But for day-to-day laundry, it seems like overkill.
