I had been wanting to try these for a while and was so glad to finally get to. They smell amazing! Everything that I had in the wash came out smelling so good and felt so soft! Even after the clothes had dried and been put away, you could walk past my laundry room and still smell the scent! It's amazing. I love how soft our clothes felt afterwards too! I took a chance and through them in the washer and i wasn't disappointed. My clothes smelled amazing and they were super soft.

I used the beads on my 10yo son's clothes that needed washing after his first week of camp. Being 10, a boy, and having sweated and played at camp, well these were not the most pleasant smelling clothes to wash. But when the load was done they smelled wonderful. Not perfumed, just fresh and clean. After going through the air dry cycle in the dryer they still had the fresh scent. And a couple of days after the washing they still smelled great. At first, I thought these beads were going to be a waste of money since the detergent I use already has sent in it but I WAS WRONG. I put these beads in with my shirts and they came out smelling 5 times better than when I only use detergent. I will defiantly be buying these since I have already used what I was given. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My Husband works in construction. Even though he personally doesn't have an odor problem, his clothes always smell of diesel. I figured his work clothes were the perfect chance to use the Downy Fresh & Protect beads ( in Botanical Mist). I used our regular washing detergent to compare his clothes using the Fresh and Protect beads and not using them. I was so surprised when I placed them in the dryer! After using the product I couldn't believe how good his clothes smelled coming from the washer and while I was drying it was making my home smell great. I kept making him smell the clothes through out the process and he couldn't believe how great his clothes smelled after being washed and dried. His clothes usually get clean but the smell of diesel almost always remains. The clean smelling clothes aren't the best part though. When he came home from work the next day after working in the sun and sweating all day his clothes still smell pretty fresh. I would definitely recommend this product to any one who make work around strong odors and doesn't want the clothes holding on to smells through out the day. We are going to always make sure we have this product on hand to wash my husband's work clothes.

I used Downy Fresh Protect in the wash with a whole load of running clothes--including ones of just worn in a half marathon. Everything came out smelling extra fresh and clean. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] So I used the downy pellets for the first time today. Just so you know you still use regular laundry detergent with this product. It doesn't tell you this on the package so I looked it up online and found out exactly how to use them. This product is just a smell booster. You put the pellets straight into the machine with your clothes ( not into laundry dispenser). It is he compatible. I tried it with a load of towels and sheets. They came out soft and do smell good. Personally I think that this product isnt any more convenient than regular fabric softener, liquid or sheets. As a matter of fact I think these could actually be more inconvenient because I can see these pellets falling all over the floor creating a danger for small children and pets. Also I would worry about using this product with clothes thinking that the pellets might cause staining because you put them right in with the clothes. ( prescicly why I chose to use them with towels). I can't tell you how long this product keeps everything smelling fresh because I just washed them today.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Downy Fresh and Protect Beads Botanical Mist smell sooooooo wonderful!!! I threw clothes in the washer and sprinkled these wonderful little beads on top... I shut the door and started the machine... Almost instantly the whole room filled with the wonderful smell. My clothes seem more soft and smell delightful. I have now replaced my normal liquid fabric softener (Downy Clean/April Fresh) with these fresh and protect beads.

I did my laundry 4 ago and the scent is still running strong! The smell was soo great my whole house smelt great! It also gave softness to my clothes and a freshness that I love. I am buying these each time I go to the store now!
