I received this product in my goddess vox box. I really wanted to put it to the test so, I tried it on the smelliest clothes in my house....my husband's work clothes. They came out of the dryer smelling great and at the end of a twelve hour shift, they still smelled good. Obviously nothing will completely mask the smell of man sweat and hydraulic oil but downy fresh protect came pretty close. *disclaimer. This product is fantastic! Literally after two weeks my clothes are still smelling fresh in the closet. It's like someone is freshening my clothes while I sleep! --I received a sample from Indluenster, completely free, for testing purposes. However, all opinions are my own. :)

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I liked the scent when they first came out of the washer, but after they came out of the dryer I thought they made my clothes smell like cheese. They made them feel soft after the dryer which I like, but I don't think I would personally buy them.

I was very impressed with how great my clothes smelled after washing it with Fresh Protect April Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield. It was a great experience and I will definitely buy it and recommend it. I was given this product for free for testing purposes, all opinions are my own.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I recently washed my clothes with the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads Botanical Mist for the first time. As soon as I took my clothes out of the washer they had the most amazing smell. This product makes your clothes smell so good I can even deny how many times I smelled the clothes before sticking them into the dryer and how much I smelled them once they came out of the dryer. Not only did the beads make a great smell they also made the clothes feel really soft, which was a plus. This had to be one of the best fabric softeners that I have used to far because the scent was refreshing without being to overbearing and extremely strong. I would definitely recommend this product to everyone.

I usually use the downy unstoppable and have been very satisfied but wanted to try something new that was the biggest mistake I've ever made. As I was taking my clothes out of the washing machine they smelled funny to me but I put them in the dryer thinking maybe they would smell better after they dried and boy was I wrong. There were also some shirts that I hung in my closet to air dry and when I stepped into my closet this morning I couldn't figure out what the stinky smell was in my closet. I grabbed my shirt and got in my car and still kept smelling this sour smell and realized as I drove to work that it was my shirt I was smelling. Now I'm at work feeling very uneasy because one of my coworkers said she was smelling something in our office that smells funny I asked her to smell my shirt and she said that was exactly what she was smelling!! I will NEVER buy this product again.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My dad owns a crab shell shop and the chemicals used in his shop give off the worst odor I have ever come across. I don't have to go to his shop very often, but as his office manager, I occasionally have to visit. I decided to use my Downy Fresh & Protect Beads on the clothing I would wear one day I had to go to the shop. It was very convenient and easy to just throw the beads in after loading my clothes. I loved the fresh smell of my clothes after drying my clothes and was eager to find out how it would stand up to the stench of my dad' shop. I went to my dad' shop and only stayed about an hour. Usually that is more than enough time to have the odor saturate my clothes and even rub off on my car seat. After leaving the shop and getting out into the fresh air, the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads worked! My clothes didn't even carry a hint of the odor from the shop! I could still get a strong whiff of that fresh smell I inhaled after my initial wash, although it had finished somewhat. But it did exactly what I hoped it would do and protected my clothes from becoming smelly. I even had my dad smell my shirt and he could only smell a fresh smell and no odor! He was pretty impressed! I will definitely recommend this product, especially to anyone who works in a place where they have to fight a daily stench.

I only use the beads on towels and other linens, because they can sometimes sit on a shelf for more than a week. But wow, i used the beads on a blanket and of course it smelt lovely after washing but about two weeks after storing it in a linen closet I pulled it out and it still smelt amazing. I think the lasting power is even better than their original unstoppables.

I love the fresh smell my clothes had after using the beads for the first time in the wash. They were so easy to use, just throw in the bottom of the washer. They fully dissolved and I loved the fresh smell of my clothes all day, especially after going on a bike ride. I love the smell, but others could see it as too strong or potent. Personal preference. If you enjoy using fabric softeners and fabric scents, you will definitely love this product! I tested my Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

The April Fresh scented Fresh Protect was sent to me as a free sample. I wouldn't typically feel compelled to share my experience, but I LOVED this product and immediately went out to buy more! It added a boat of softness and freshness to my standard loads of clean laundry. It made my towels, bed linens and other items smell so nice! I wish I'd have known about this years ago!
