The Downy Fresh Protect April Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield is a great product. I washed a couple of loads and they all smell so fresh and clean. The scent stayed on the clothing throughout my day. I did receive complimentary samples of Downy Fresh Protect to review.

I am a loyal customer of Gain's laundry and dish detergents, therefore trying something outside of Gain wasn't on my agenda at the time. When I received this product for free, I immediately made it a point to try it because I really didn't have anything to lose. Well, I was very satisfied with the refreshing smell and the scent lasted for almost 3 weeks! I am very amazed. I am planning on putting this on my shopping list from now on.

I have always been a Downy customer, but I had never tried the Downy beads before. They were so simple to use and I didnt have to worry about spilling anything so that aspect is great. I still get the softness I love so much from Downy. The only thing for me is I will have to use less next time because the scent was very strong for my personal liking. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I used the Downy Fresh & Protect beads with a free and clear detergent so that I could get the full scent effect. I washed my children's clothes (ages 6 and 2) with the Downy beads. The beads were awesome, just toss them in with the detergent and water before putting your laundry in. During the washing cycle you could really smell the beads, and the smell was very fresh and clean. After the cycle was over, I took the clothes out and the smell was strong but not over powering. I was disappointed though that after drying the clothes I didn't really notice the Downy scent, and by the next day there was no scent left in the clothes at all. I like the concept and ease of use but would like if the scent lasted a little longer.

I absolutely loved the way this product smelled! It made my clothes smell great, and the scent lasted way longer than I expected. The only issue I have it that pouring this directly on my clothes left small spots that look like grease stains. I followed the instructions on how to use, but I don't think they fully dissinigrated causing the spots on my clothing. I did get this product free from influenster for testing purposes.

I decided to try these in a load of towels. Lately the towels had a musty, mildew odor that would not come out even after using a strong detergent and and Oxy additive. These little beauties did the trick! The tOwen's came out smelling awesome and the smell lasted for several days. I will definitely be purchasing these. I love these balls! I've been using these in my wash even before I got my sample. These leave my clothes smelling fresh, and delish, and I even think they make them a little softer. I always buy these and use these and wlll continue to do so. I tested my Downy Fresh Protect for free, but all opinions are my own.

I love this product from Downy. I wash my clothes on a daily basis and this product leaves my clothes smelling good and fresh. I can never live without this now. It's very convenient to use since they are just beads. I always get compliments from friends saying I smell really good! Haha. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't quite sure what to do with this product when I first received it. Was it a scent booster and would I still need to use dryer sheets? So, I held off on using it. It wasn't until my basement flooded, soaking my bath towels for days, leaving behind a musty smell that I just didn't think would come out. Ive left wet towels in the wash before for days which had the same musty smell, and I was never able to get it out, so they became rags. I did not want to trash my new towels so I threw in some downy fresh and hopped for the best- To my surprise, they came out smelling the best they ever have, and it didn't mess with the absorbency which can be a problem when using traditional dryer sheets with towels. Overall, I am very pleased and even bought a small bottle to use with my husbands work clothes.
