[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I received a trial packet of Downy® Fresh Protect In-Wash Odor Shield via Downy as a BzzAgent. Since I have a two year old son who always has a pile of clothes covered in grass stains, ketchup, and chocolate, I figured I'd try this new product out on his laundry load. I poured the contents into the washer and then put the clothes in. The little blue beads smelled wonderful! Like a fresh rain/clean soap smell. When I took the clothes out of the washer, they smelled just like the little beads, amazing. However, after I dried the clothes in the dryer, the yummy smell was gone. The clothes smelled like...clothes. I was super disappointed. My son's clothes were clean. Even stains from his play clothes that had been on his shirts through multiple washings with another brand were finally gone. I rated this product a 3 out of 5 because although it worked well, I wish the smell had lasted.

For this being the first time trying this time of product I really liked it. I'm impressed with the consept of how you add in inside the washing machine and not adding it while your washing like most of us do when it come to the softener. The smell of this is amazing and love how my clothes smell fresh for days. Will continue to use this product and will be repurchasing again.

Downey has always been a common name in my household as my mom used to always buy the Downey dryer sheets. Now, I have a family of my own, and Downey will continue to hold a spot in my home. The botanical scent leaves my clothes smelling so good after washing. We will definitely be getting some of this on our next shopping trip.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was a little hesitant to try these at first but I was pleasantly surprised when my towels and blankets came out of the wash smelling so nice after using Downy Fresh Protect Active Fresh In-Wash Odor Shield! My younger children have sensitive skin so I only used this on towels and blankets but they can even use this and I will now use this on a regular basis for my family! We love the smell and how fresh and clean the laundry comes out!

The first use I made the mistake of adding in too much product and it was a bit overpowering, but even with the stronger scent it does a good job of keeping bad scents down to acceptable levels.

I then put them in the closet with my other towels (that I had not used the product on) and I guess I can say that I have not noticed a difference between using the fresh protect and not using it.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] before i tried this comment i was interested to know if it really had lasting scent or it faded after a few hrs. i smelled it before i put it in my wash and i definitely know after it was that scent. a week later i can still smell it in my clean clothes. i absolutely love the way it smells im very pleased with this product.

I am very familiar with "bead" like fabric enhancers because I've used them for the last couple years. I've always just used the regular downy unstoppable and been very pleased with the smell and freshness they leave on my clothes. The downy fresh protect beads are pretty much the same concept, but I think I like them more. I feel like they have a more potent smell and they fight odors better. I have noticed that the smell of these lingers longer than that of the regular unstoppable. I will be repurchasing these in the future and I'm very impressed by the product! *I received these from influenster to try and review but all opinions are my own*

I love the fresh smell my clothes had after using the beads for the first time in the wash.They were so easy to use, just thrown in the bottom of the washer. They fully dissolved and I loved the fresh smell of my clothes all day, especially after going on a bike ride. I love the smell, but others could see it as too strong or potent. Personal preference. If you enjoy using fabric softeners or fabric scents, you will definitely love this product! I tested my Downy Fresh Protect Beads for free, but all opinions are my own.

I recently got a few samples of the downy fresh protect beads in a vox box from influenster to test for free. I normally use a different brand because I love the scent but it usually doesn't linger very long. I noticed with the downy fresh protect its still there after I've dried my clothes and put them away. I used it on bedding and my bedding smells so good!! I'm glad I got to try them for free because I would definitely purchase these and use them in my laundry care routines!!!
