I haven't used Downy April Fresh in years. It used to be my favorite but there was a change to the formula and I tried others. I decided to give it another go as I was tired of my current scent and bought these beads. Wow, they actually smell bad. I can't describe it, but it's toward the end of the scent, it's sort of sweet and sour, it's definitely not fresh.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] As a bzzagent I received Downy Fresh for free! I used it in my front load he washer. I was a little skeptical putting all those beads in my washer. I wasn't sure if they would all really dissolve. But they did and my towels came out smelling fresh! I even ran them through an extra rinse because I always do that with my towels and they still came out smelling fresh but not over bearing. I did give these only 4 stars because it is another laundry step and I'm not sure I would want to mess with putting them in all the time. Other than that they had a nice clean smell that lasted! After several days my towels still smelled fresh!

I had never used any of the products like Fresh Protect before but I really love them! It was so easy just to add the beads to the wash and my clothes smelled amazing when I left them in my dresser and came home after vacation. The price is a little high for my taste but I definitely think I'll purchase them in the future. I received this product complimentary of Influenster to review!

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Wow! This product gives such a fresh smell to my laundry! We live in Texas and it gets humid and hot here. The kid's clothes can get a bit stinky when they've been running around outside. I used the Downy Fresh and Protect Beads in our last load of laundry and I was amazed at how well it worked! It really is like deodorant for your clothes! The kids smelled fresh and clean, even after playing outside for several hours. That's really saying something in this southern humidity! The product is easy to use. Just toss it in the washer along with the rest of your laundry. It's a definite must for my laundry loads from now on!

I have a friend who smokes, and they stink to me. I had a chance to do some laundry for them, so I used these beads in the wash. The next time I saw them, the ashtray odor was almost completely gone, and they smelt really good. They even asked what I washed the clothes in, because they felt so nice, and were surprised to hear about the beads. I received the Downy Fresh Protect product free, but this opinion is my own. I used this product in my "smelly" laundry load (exercise and running clothing items). I usually use a scented laundry detergent to try to get the smell out but there is always residual smell. I was so happy to test this product and find that basically all of the bad smell in my laundry was gone! It works really well and I am more willing to use this because you put it in the wash at the beginning instead of having to wait until the rinse cycle comes on which is what I would have to do if I was to use fabric softener. I received this product to test for free and my review and opinion is my own. I would definitely recommend this product!

Even after several days in the closet my clothes came out feeling and smelling the same as they did when I pulled out of the dryer.

I was a bit worried that it would be too strong of a scent for my clothes, but I was glad to find that the scent turned out very light after drying. I used this on my lounge clothes/pj's that I wear in the evening and change out of first thing in the morning. I usually wear these for a few evenings before washing because they don't get dirty. After using the Downy beads, my clothes smelled fresh for days! Even with pets, these beads fought odors. Glad I got to try them and would recommend to others.

I loved this product. I used it last night and I am already hooked, It is so simple to use you literally just dump it in like you would your soap and your clothes come out smelling better than ever! I have never used a scent booster before but now I dont think I could live without one,
