I love a great smelling basket of laundry!, and this product does not disappoint. I received this product for free for testing purposes but this opinion is my own. I would definitely purchase this product again. I've always liked Downt products anyway!

These beads smell nice, and are strong. I was worried the pink would stain my clothes, but they dissolved and caused no issues. I think they're a good idea if you need them, but I have very few items of clothing that actually need to be washed in such fragrance. When clothes were dried, the scent was pleasant and not overpowering. I gave 3 stars simply because I try to avoid extra chemicals and synthetic fragrances in products as much as I can. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I usually use Downy unStopables Fresh Scent, but was excited to try the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads Botanical Mist that I got from BzzAgent. They were both easy to use and smelled great. I simply opened the package and dumped them into the bottom of the washing machine before adding my laundry detergent and loading the laundry. The sheets came out smelling amazing and the scent has lasted for weeks. I definitely plan on purchasing the Downy Fresh & Protect Beads Botanical Mist in the future.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I have to say I seen the commercial for this product before I ever got to try it out and I thought why need the extra product shouldn't just regular laundry detergent and fabric softener do the trick that this product claims to do? So I decided to do a little experiment with my husbands stinky work clothes mind you you works in a dirty shipping and receiving building so he really brings home some stinky dirty smelling clothes. I washed half in just regular store brand detergent and softner and the other half with a Tide Pod and Downy fresh & protect beads. The Downy fresh & protect won hands down. He wore those clothes and a week later sitting in the laundry basket it came to wash them again and I couldn't believe that they still smelled so fresh even sitting in the basket with the other half I washed with store brand detergent that smelled not so fresh.

As soon as I opened the package I loved the smell of the april fresh scent. I could smell the washer as it ran. The clothes that I air dried still smell great. The clothes that I put in the cryer do not smell very strongly anymore. Although, I must admit I used dryer sheets. I hope Downy writes better instructions for this product so you know how to keep the smell appropriately. None the less, I recommend this product and especially this scent! I am happy to say I was able to sample this product for free but all opinions are my own.

I just finish this bottle of Downy Unstopable Fresh Protect, April Fresh Booster Beads 30.3 oz I love how it leaves my clothes smelling, even though is not a fabric softener, but I usually only use it with my darks, and my color towels, cause I have notice that on the whites it leaves dark/purple spots don't know why, anybody had that probkem?? I've been very skeptical of this type of product since they began hitting the market. I haven't ever tried any on my own because they can be pricey on a college student budget and I didn't find them to be 100% necessary. I received a free sample of these inside my Influenster box (all opinions are my own) so I figured I would test them out on my most difficult clothing- old volleyball t-shirts that have absorbed gallons of sweat over the years. No matter how much soap I use or how often I wash them, they always have a musty smell to them. I tossed some of these scent beads in with a load of only old t-shirts to put them to the ultimate test. After drying, I was SHOCKED to see that they smelled like normal clothes should. While they didn't smell fresh as a daisy with a lingering scent, they got the icky scent out and that's all that matters to me. I have washed them since and they came out smelling the same- no musty smell to them. As I mentioned before I don't see myself buying these frequently as I don't really NEED them, but from time to time when something needs freshening I would definitely pick up a bottle of these little beads.

This product makes my clothing smell great and its easy to use, plus it lasts longer than others. It didn't make my VERY sensitive skin have any issues so that also gave a plus. The only draw back is that sometimes the pearls didn't completely dissolve so it felt like it was wasted.

Whats even better is it lasts. I took a pair of my son's pants out to put on him and can still tell they were in my Downey load. I'm so glad I was able to try this product and am instantly hooked! Next time I buy laundry detergent I am getting me some of this!
