These mattresses are not what they once were before. I started off with a medium firm, it was too firm and caused sharp pain on my elbows and shoulders. Then I was steered towards the soft; which turned out to be too soft, it feels like a cheap 20 year old mattress with no support at all, I literally sleep in a bowed position. Because of the lack of support, I filed a warranty claim under the impression I received a faulty product, the warranty chose to deny my claim after making me hop through hoops of fire for them. (warranty literally wants you to take a picture of the whole mattress with no sheets, a straight edge on it and a quarter in between the straight edge and the mattress at specific angles, multiple times I explained to them the integrity is faulty not the actual physical shape) Because of this faulty/poor mattress I have developed a constant subtle lower back pain. I'm out of my house 3-6 nights a month, and the nights I don't sleep on my Tempur Pedic I wake up with no pain on my back and actually somewhat rested, I have come to dread sleeping on this mattress. Tempur Pedic has no timeless classic of a product, their lineup is all propaganda. Their mattresses bottom out at varying points depending on the firmness and when they do it is the equivalent of concrete not clouds. The competition has caught up to Tempur Pedic, they are no longer what they once upon a time were. A consumer can buy a mattress of a fraction of the cost with a topper and have a better quality sleep. Until further notice I'm stuck with this mattress because I financed it and cannot simply throw it out. Neither Tempur Pedic, the box store I bought it from are willing to hold themselves accountable for this poor product. You have been warned.

The Tempur Proadpt Medium Hybrid mattress is the best me and my wife have ever owned, slept on where comfort and support finally meet so one of us are uncomfortable earthier being to firm or too soft, wish we would of bought this mattress years ago we can both finally get a good night sleep( well worth the money, the saying you get what you pay for really applies) so our suggestion find a Tempurpedic mattress you really feel comfortable on and Buy it :)

We bought this bed 2 1/2 years ago, on recommendation from a family member.... salesman at Slummerland pushed this mattress...now I know why... depressions with mid bed "ridge" VERY uncomfortable on back and joints!!!! The 10 year warranty was denied... "depressions not deep enough".... NOW WORKING TO TELL EVERYONE NOT TO BUY TEMPUR PEDIC!!!!!!!!

I was impressed with this mattress on the very first night, and have continued to be impressed. I'd always been a bit skeptical when it came a mattress' ability to regulate temperature and keep a person cool throughout the night. In my head I'd say things like, "Ya, right. I'm sure it's a rip off. There's no way a mattress could do that." But, I decided to step out of my comfort zone and take a chance and my goodness, I'm so glad that I did! I'm happy to admit that I was wrong, but I think my body is even happier! Ever since I switched out my old mattress for my new Tempur-ProAdapt, my sleep has drastically improved. Night after night I'm sleeping cooler, more comfortable, and waking up more rested than ever before.

I paid thirty-seven hundred for this mattress less than 3 years prior to writing this review. The sidewall where I get onto the bed has collapsed and there is a massive section of mattress that is sagging about 10 inches. Sometimes I have even rolled off the bed there. I filed a warranty claim which was rejected. They made several assertions about why it was rejected none of which actually applied to my mattress. They claimed the cover was damaged even though the cover was not even on it in the photos I sent. They claimed I did not use a cover despite there being a cover on the same reciept. In fact I have used two covers most of the time. They then claimed it mattress had not been stored properly but it had never been stored and was in the same place on the same base when it was delivered. The damage was literally only because on getting on and off the bed. I am not overweight or anything like that either. If they think I am just going to stay silent after spending so much less than 3 years ago they are mistaken. I am not faced with taking the company to court to get this solved. Terrible company, terrible product.

Had a Tempur for years and recently replaced it - the new "firm" model is very hard and the tested "medium" is very squishy. Neither seem to be the middle of the road that the older models were and we are having difficulty getting used to the firmness of the mattresses we bought. Older now and perhaps have more joint aches and pains but we seldomly wake up refreshed but rather with exaggerated aches and pains. Would try the "medium" but not sure that would be better and don't want to be stuck with that should it not work better and we want to switch back again. The trial period is almost up and we are 'conflicted as to what to do with this very expensive and not so comfortable bed system. Also got a set of the most expensive sheets that were never opened and decided we do not need but the store refuses to take them as a return or exchange so we are stuck with nearly $400 in useless product!!! A decent product but one that requires very very careful evaluation before spending the money they demand. In our case we are not much pleased with the purchase and get poor responses from the retailer.

I had heard they were hot to sleep on and it took a long time to break in. I was reluctant to commit. The salesman assured us we would have 100 nights to sleep on it and decide if it was for us. We have loved it since the first night. It is not hot at all to sleep on. We did not have to break it in and we love the adjustable base we added to it. My favorite part is the massage setting. Overall we are very happy with the whole system and would buy it again.

My husband and I were involved in a major car accident that left both of us with severe injuries, including a broken neck for me. After spending 3 months in a cervical collar and not being able to lie flat, I suffered from many issues that made sleeping comfortably next to impossible. Once I was able to lie flat, I also suffered from positional vertigo. All of my pressure points hurt and I woke up day after day feeling as if I hadn't slept a wink. We finally decided it was time for a new mattress. We went to the mattress store with a Tempurpedic in mind but decided to lie on the machine to see which mattresses were compatible for us based on our body type and sleep positions. Thankfully the mattress we had in mind was on both of our lists of compatible mattresses. When we tested the Tempurpedic, it felt amazing! We decided to get the split adjustable bases. It makes reading in bed at night so comfortable. We now both sleep incredibly. An added bonus is the elevated mattress has almost completely eliminated my husband's snoring making it easier for me to fall asleep at night! I highly recommend this mattress. It has been well worth the investment.
