Awesome generator

Had this unit for one year to the day.  Used it  during an ice storm and it failed on day 3.  Luckily our dealer replaced it with a new one.

I'm past retirement age and live in a rural area. It's nice to not have to worry about power outages.

Peace of mind

Generator installed a year ago on NG, has worked flawlessly over multiple power outages, we forget it's running.  Great feeling of security.

Ever vigilant

I can't believe this did not last for even a month. Now I have wait 3 weeks for new motor. Poor machine don't buy one

No good

so you buy the generator, it fails-you call the only dealer in the state that can work on it, they tell you it's a month until they can even come out and see it, you fix it yourself and all Generac can say is "glad it all worked out!" then accuse you of not following the maintenance guidelines. HAAAARD PASS

WARRANTY IS LAUGHABLE

Piece of mind

We have had the 26kw for a year and no problems at all.

Excellent

We purchased it about 2 years ago and it pretty much has failed us when the need arises during storms or other weather in climate conditions. This was bought because I have a cpap machine and need it to sleep. Also to protect the contents of our freezer and fridge.

Poor choice on my part.

We moved to NC into an area where there are not that many power outages, but having lived through hurricane Sandy and no power for 6 days, we wanted peace of mind for when and if there are some. About 3 months after moving into our new home with generator, there was construction work being done that caused us to lose power. We were it would be back in a couple of hours, 6 hours later, our Generac was humming along nicely. I have read where some owners have had problems during outages. I asked the local dealer about this and they indicated that many don't do the required initial oil change. We are going on close to a year and the generator does its test run without issue.
