I ordered 2 and were easy to assemble. They seem well-made and were in the color represented on-line. The only disappointment we have is that they are really made for someone at least 6' tall as those of us who are 5' 4" have our feet dangle when sitting in it. It is either full recline or sitting up right.

We purchased 2 of these from Sam's dot com. They seem to be well built and perfect scale for our room. Problem is with reclining mechanism. When you recline it is straight back even with full tension adjustment. Instructions show 3 positions. No recline, tv recline, and full recline. There's no tv recline. It's either no recline or flat on your back. We now have the hassle of returning these to local Sam's Club. Clearly, the manufacturer did not test these prior to production. Nor did anyone from Sam's test them before offering them for sale. This is my last furniture purchase from Sam's.

The chair was okay to sit in but didn't fit me as the dimensions indicated it should. The footrest edges hurt and the seat was nice and firm but armrests then were too low. I ended up going to a furniture store and paying triple to get something. So i wanted to return this. Sam's return process is horrible! Not for small stuff -- I haven't had a problem with the local warehouse on that. But online says you can return all orders locally. I ordered this chair on 11/26/24 and received it 12/3/24. Within a week I started the return process and was informed by the reps (who are out of country, & I believe in Philippines) that my local warehouse may not accept the chair and they wanted to have it picked up. I tried to ask why the local store MAY decline to take it & if so why that is not stated in online ordering. (This is another issue entirely that i disagree with!) But anyway, I was told that they would pick it up assembled and without the box i had destroyed getting it out. I received no contact from the pickup, so i contacted CS again. Then they told me i had to find a box so FedEx could pick it up. I spent $75 just before Christmas on small moving boxes and tape to try to create a box from what I could buy locally and I had to partially disassemble the chair to get it "wrapped in cardboard" since I would not call it a box. It needed to be ready when FedEx showed up. The next day the *original* pickup contacted me to pick it up on Dec 26, which they did. Today is 1/13/25 and I have heard nothing. No update, no confirmation, NO REFUND. I am posting this to be sure you understand what happens if you order furniture from Sams online that you need to return. It is not easy and takes forever. I ordered the chair on Nov 26 and I am still out the $ for it as of Jan 13. To be fair they sent me two $20 gift cards, one for my trouble and one for the boxes to use in sending it. (Of course the two together didn't cover the cost of the boxes that i eventually didn't even need). At this point all I want is my refund. I am strongly considering not renewing my membership next time it comes due, as my life situation has changed and this has kinda put me over the edge.

I also ordered 2 recliners. They were delivered 2 days earlier than promised. I received them on July 27, and as in big Louie’s review my chair did not have a tv position. I called the manufacturer and their response was to take it back to place of purchase. Chair is made with great quality, but unfortunately the recline mechanism is defective.

I bought this recliner due to the price and the look. It looks great and $299 is a good price. But it is the most uncomfortable recliner I've ever sat in. The leg rest has little cushion. So your legs and ankles start to ache. Crossing your legs means the bottom one falls asleep shortly thereafter. I'm 6' tall and when sitting in the straight up position, my feet barely touch the floor The recliner is very tall. The armrests have little padding so they get uncomfortable pretty quickly. The rest of the chair padding is pretty firm too. Well, actually, it is very firm. I'm guessing the recliner padding will hold up a very long time due to its firm and sturdy construction. But it doesn't make it comfortable. In the TV reclined position (I guess you'd call it halfway reclined), you have to constantly balance your body or you will unexpectedly fall back into the flat position. The recliner doesn't help keep itself in the desired position. The final straw was the seat back. It is very flat; no curve whatsoever. So you have to use your neck to keep your head up to watch TV in the middle reclined position. If you lay your head back on the seat back, the TV would have to be mounted close to the ceiling in order to see it. I love Sam's Club and this was a big disappointment. But their return policy can't be beat. So I'll return this recliner and find another one at Sam's. Sorry Sam's, but this isn't a good recliner. PS - The box and recliner are pretty big. If you plan to bring it home in your car, you probably need an SUV or pickup truck. My 2016 VW Jetta didn't even come close to fitting the chair even if I had deboxed it and tried to fit the pieces in separately.

When I purchased these recliners a few weeks ago, there were no reviews written. Now I see others have the same issue as me. These recliners will not stay in the “TV position.” You either sit in it like a normal chair, or it reclines all the way back, where you’re laying flat. We have the max tension on the springs, and they still fail to hold up in the TV position. We had to reposition the recliners close to the wall so it wouldn’t recline all the way down. I purchased TWO of them, they both have the same issue. One also came in a beat up box and the back of the headrest was indented/damaged. I’m working on returning them, ASAP!! Not worth the hassle AT ALL.

My wife picked this color to coordinate with other furniture in the room. She likes it.

We love the Drexel recliner’s we ordered two and they are easy to push back and very comfortable.
