The sauce is actually very mediocre. There's a hint of heat, but overall it's very mild and flavorless. Aldi's version of this butter curry sauce is much better. This is just not a very well rounded or particularly tasty sauce. One of my family who had it with me said it gets worse the more you eat.

This is a delicious base for a lot of India inspired dishes.  Great with potatoes, beans, lentils, rice and of course chicken. It is a rich sauce so it doesn't take much (maybe 1/4 cup) for a serving
