LOVE Yountville and this wine!

We visited Yountville many years ago, and still fondly remember the quaint shops, outstandingly fresh food, and delicious wine. When we spotted this cabernet at Sam's Club from this beloved region of California, we quickly purchased it and tried the wine the very next day. It is a lovely wine, smooth taste, and best of all, brought back memories of Yountville. Do not hesitate to purchase the wine (and plan a trip to California)!

A great wine at this price point.

I'm not sure why all the hate for this wine in the reviews. Here's my take, as a wine buyer for 40+ years: this is NOT a $100 bottle of masquerading as a < $20 bottle. It might, however, be a $30-35 bottle in disguise. I buy a lot of $50+ bottles, and a few lower-price ones for parties and such. This wine was as good or better than those in the second category. The vintage is 5 years old, which is kind of a sweet spot for lower-priced wines, and rare at this price point. (Might vary in different stores.) It decanted quickly to the point where I would describe it as 'smooth,' and got even better over the next hour or so. It's not the most complex wine I've ever drank, but I don't expect that in an < $30 bottle of wine. I plan to buy more. YMMV.
