Pretty decent for an everyday drinker. The problem is the bottle absolutely stinks. It's way to heavy and so incredibly awkward to try to get ahold of. You have to use two hands to pour the bottle. Change the bottle design please.

Great Tasting Whiskey

Good value, smooth

So I lovwhiskey. By no means does this taste like crown royal. Me personally I don't like crown. Makers mark is my go to. But this whiskey is smooth I sip and take shots of it. Haven't tried it in a cocktail yet. But for the money it's great. Good for parties etc. I would purchase it again just cause of how smooth it is.

As good as Crown

Everyone's taste is different. This is how I evaluate it against other Canadian whisky: It's considerably better than regular bottom of the line Canadian Club. Regular CC isn't that good. It's about as good as regular Crown Royal, which is ok. It's not as good as Canadian Club Classic 12 small batch (which I really like). What makes this something I'd purchase again is the price. It's good at that price point. If it was more expensive, I'd buy the CC Classic 12. For that reason, I don't buy Crown Royal.

This whiskey is horrible. Tastes nasty even in mixed drinks. Anyone that says this is good doesn't know a thing about good whiskeys. Gives me gut rot feeling and makes me mean for no reason. I normally do not get mean from whiskey. It's absolutely terrible. I thought for 17 bucks it's a lot and I'd just use it for mix drinks but it's so bad I have to cut it in half with a good whiskey and still have trouble drinking it. This is a, you get what you pay for scenario.

Taste test winner

Like most people who try this the first time, I was hoping this was a fantastic deal on a Crown Royal knock-off. Unfortunately it is much more akin to Canadian Mist or Black Velvet style cheap, weak Canadian whisky. Too bland to sip, and too weak to mix without washing out. If you are a volume Canadian Mist style drinker, this may be for you though.
