Couldn't be easier for one or two people. Add rice. Add water. Press button. I used Kokuho Rose and the rice came out perfect. No burnt spots. Delicious. Moist and fluffy. Rice was kept warm for 2nd serving. I will be using it for quinoa and other rice recipes. Perfect for a single person.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I made purple rice in my cooker. The only problem is I didn't think about purple steam coming out and coloring everything around the rice cooker. LOL Lesson learned. The rice was nicely cooked and it was so easy to use. I look forward to using it for more culinary delights.

I am in love with this mini rice cooker!!I just recently used it to keep my dipping chocolate warm while making truffles and it was great!!I do wish that Dash offered extra pots... Dash, PLEASE let me know that you offer replacement pots for this product!

I love the variety of foods I can prepare. I looked through the recipe book, and there was even polenta. I haven't had the appliances to made decent polenta for so long that I finally gave up. I'm really looking forward to preparing it in this cooker. Also, I love the color (aqua).

I bought this along with a hand mixer back in May and I have to say I use it literally all the time. It makes the perfect amount of rice for me to have one helping at dinner and a leftover helping the next day for lunch and I've also had a lot of delicious success making mashed potatoes and mac and cheese in it. It's also ridiculously cute which is always a bonus for me. :)

I purchased this for my 7 year old who LOVES eating plain steamed rice. I don’t like making it in large quantities because it just dries out, but with how quick and easy this makes it, she now knows how to make a fresh batch in under 20 minutes! It’s also super easy to clean with the removable insert!

Perfect portions, cooks perfectly! The recipes included in the manual are superb, I never would have thought I could make banana bread, polenta, and of all things a Dutch baby in my Dash Mini Rice Cooker! I am trying the Thai coconut rice next. Thank you Dash

Never had a rice cooker before. I want to Love it. I have used it three times now. Each time I get a sticky mess. I tried with a bit of butter and with nothing added. Today I added a bit of salt. It is still sticky and almost sticks on bottom. I tried washing the rice first. Please, someone give me some clues as to what I am doing wrong. I will continue to use it and hope I figure it out.

I used this rice cooker for the first time today. I cooked 1 cup of rice, hand washed the little pot with a gentle sponge and while it was drying I noticed it already has a chip in the black coating on the pot. The chip wasn’t there when I opened the package so I guess it couldn’t handle regular use even once, what a piece of garbage! The coating also contains PFTEs so I definitely will not be using it with the coating chipping off so easily.

This little unit worked perfectly, and takes up less room on our kitchen counter or cabinets. It cooked 2 cups perfectly and was to our exact outcome hoped for. We wanted something simple to replace an aging, yet still functional Zojirushi rice cooker at a much lower price point. The larger 5.5 cup cooker was just becoming too cumbersome in our senior years, and the Mini Rice Cooker from Dash is working out great.
