I just purchased this generator a few days ago to handle our household electrical needs during local power outages. Assembly (wheels and legs) was quick and easy. Pre-operation was simple, put oil in it, put gas in it, turn on the fuel valve, set the choke, turn the engine control switch to on and pull the handle. It started on the first easy pull and ran smoothly. I verified that all of the outlets were working (they were) and now the generator is in storage mode, ready to go when needed. In my opinion the size is relatively compact and the generator is very easy to roll around. I would characterize this purchase as an excellent buy.

Power went out recently for a few days and with a pregnant wife what else could go wrong. I bought this my Wgen3600 2 months ago and still had it in the box. Pulled this bad boy out filled it with oil and gas and boom!! On the first pull she turned on and powered our 10kbtu window unit..our fridge and auxiliary out door lights at night. What else can I say but it's a life saver!

After surviving a category 4 hurricane and having no power for 3+ days, it was time to finally invest in a generator. I got a good deal on this generator, and it was delivered in just a couple of days. It was simple to put together, included wheels and was easy to start. I hope I never have to use it, but now I feel more prepared in the event of another storm and power outage.

In Eastern Maine electrical service is very unreliable. And it gets cold here. So, after numerous wind/rain/snow storms when we lost power for hours and even days, we decided it was time for a small “portable” generator. Enough backup power to run a sump pump, refrigerator, and a small space heater or two. So far our WGen3600cv has been a superb power source. The instructions are very clear, it is simple to operate, and so far is 100% reliable. While not light in weight and bordering on what I would consider “portable”, it is small enough so two folks over 60 can lug it from the shed to where it is needed. Definitely a two-person carry, but my wife is able to drag it out if needed. If you are considering this type of generator please give the WGen3600cv a good look.

I purchased the Westhouse generator in preparation for the upcoming hurricane season. The WGen3600 seems like the perfect product for our planned use. Hurricane season is not predictable and thus we don't know how extensive we would use the generator. This product was in our price range, (especially for something we hope not to use on a regualr basis). The review were good and comparable to more expensive products. It has safety feature such as low oil shut off and the construction appears to be solid. Unpacking and setting it up was a breeze. It stores away nicely in our gargage. Since it has not been used yet we cannot report on its performance at this time.

This generator is easy to set up, and use. It is really quite for a unit its size and seems to run a very long time on a small amount of fuel. Light enough to carry id needed and powerful enough to do the job at hand. I'm very excited about the potential uses of this product.

I ordered this generator in early September and received about a week later. I finally got a chance to set it up and run it today. I was really surprised and how quiet it was relatively speaking for gas powered generator. I only ran it briefly and with a few items on it for a load, so I cannot comments and it's a durability, ability to sustain a load, or it's runtime out a tank of fuel fuel. I ran the few are the carburetor and drain the tank in order to start until next emergency, which I bought it for after being out of power for a day and a half two months ago when the edge of a hurricane blew through the area. One minor disappointment is that inside the tank in around the rim was starting to rust.The inside of the tank should've been sprayed with oil by the manufacture prior to shipping so that this didn't happen. I'm not gonna bother returning it over this and plan on picking up some fogging oil the fog the carburetor and spray inside the tank to prevent further rust from developing.

Just got this for a recent snow storm. Works great. Beware - it is heavy!

Runs great, and have no problems with this item, would buy it again
