Lucid Air engineering team recommended this tire (specifically the OEM) in the owners only meet and greet

I am on my 2nd set of 20" Pilot EV OEM tires for the Lucid Air Touring. My comparison point is the Pirelli All Season tire OEM that comes with the Lucid 19" tires. Relative to the Pirelli OEM tire, this tire is quieter, stickier, and more responsive around curvy mountain roads I drive daily near my home. Durability wise, I had my first set of tires for 25K miles before replacement. I did not have any of the issues that are mentioned in this review site. Foam never came loose.

Great tires---need more sizes available!

Have Pilot Sport 4S (an outstanding tire) on two of our cars (including one EV) and really wanting the EV version to help a bit with range and (hopefully) beefier construction to handle the battery weight. The foam is more of a repair nuisance, adds weight, and not a benefit to me. Of course it will not have more range than a stock low rolling resistance all season tire! Lol other reviewer, you buy this summer tire for the great handling! The issue is that the range of available sizes is too small to accommodate a growing world of EVs. Looking for 265/40/21 and 285/40/21 for a staggered setup, which are missing in action. Please build.

Good grip, awful howl

These came factory fitted on my Cupra Born. Otherwise a good performance tire, but there is a very irritating cavity noise at around 200hz on anything but the smoothest of road surfaces. I have experienced Pilot Sports previously and understand the comfort sacrifices, but the sound that these tires make is almost unbearable. I have around 2000km on these tires so they might get slightly better but so far they are as loud as when they were new.

Run away don’t purchase !!!

Sorry zero rating is not available. Bought 3 Pilot Sport 8/6/24 to match the one purchased in April 2024. Currently have 6,500 miles on three tire and 11,500 on one from April. At time of purchase an alinement was completed. One is bald, have photos to send. My tire guy is trying to work a deal but it is ridiculous what Michelin wants to refund. Also the deal is to replace with another set of Michelin. Very disappointed PLUS all winter and spring any skiff of snow or puddle of water these tires water plain. My CX90 Volvo was in storage for three month No

The foam is the bottle neck

On three different occasions that so called foam came loose in the tyre and caused me not to be able to drive faster then 100kmh as it created a huge centrifuge effect and left the car shaking intensely if I drove faster. It already started at 25000km with the first tyre. Non of the three tires ever made it to the end of their cycle. What a disappointment, I don’t trust these tires at all.

isappointing Longevity and Performance from Michelin Pilot Sport EV Tires

I recently purchased Tesla model Y that comes with a set of Michelin Pilot Sport EV all season tires, compelled by the brand's reputation and the specific design tailored for electric vehicles. Given the premium price tag, my expectations were understandably high, both in terms of performance and durability. Unfortunately, my experience has fallen short in several key areas, most notably in the longevity of the tires, which has left me questioning their value. First off, Michelin claims these tires are engineered to meet the unique demands of electric vehicles, promising enhanced traction, efficiency, and a quieter ride. While the initial performance was satisfactory, providing a decent grip and a somewhat quieter experience, the tires quickly showed signs of wear far sooner than anticipated. The manufacturer advertises a certain mileage expectancy for these tires, but my set began to show significant wear well before reaching even 50% of the promised mileage. This was under normal driving conditions, without excessive hard braking or aggressive cornering that might otherwise justify such rapid wear. What's more frustrating is that when you invest in a Michelin product, especially something as specialized as the Pilot Sport EV tires, you expect durability that matches the premium outlay. Unfortunately, this has not been the case. It's disheartening to see a product from a brand as reputable as Michelin fail to live up to its mileage claim, which is a fundamental expectation for any tire purchase.
