Good tire but really short treadlife

Got a set of these in 2016. Just changed them out today. They ran great up until this winter when I checked the tread depth and they were all 3/32”. I could definitely notice sliding that wasn't there last winter during our last snowfall. They are rated 600 but run more like a 500. Awesome tires for the first year though!

Leased Vehicle with 225/60R18 Premier LTX

I went to the dealer today for a oil change. This is a leased Buick Envision with 27,000 miles and the dealer told me that the tires would need to be replaced. The tires mentioned came with the vehicle when I leased it. Come on Michelin get it together. .I should not have to replace the tires at 27,000 mile.

Premature tread wear

Came on new 2018 GMC. Past couple months haven't feel vehicle handling well, sliding at stops, spinning at slow acceleration in wet or snowy weather, hydroplaning in rain & sliding around corners in snow. Went in for inspection at 1 yr & tires are down to 3/32 depth of 8. Only 20k mi. on a 60k mi. tire. Felt like something was wrong with the tires & the dealership confirmed.

Poor Treadwear

I just had my 30,000 mile inspection at the dealer where I purchased the vehicle. All service to date on the vehicle & tires has been at the Dealer. I was very disappointed to learn that my tires Michelin Premier LTX (at 30,000 miles) needed to be replaced. My tread depth was down to 1/32 on two of the tires & 2/32 on the other two. I have had many sets of Michelin tires over the years but this seemed much too premature, based on the vehicle miles.

Nowhere near 60k miles

I bought these Premier LTX 265/60R18 tires with 52k miles on my F150, 23k mikes later and I am having to get new tires due the tread being chewed up and signs of dry rot....after 23k miles these tires have to be replaced. I highly doubt I will ever buy Michelin again. Premier price, substandard performance.

Does not last as advertised

I have always had Michelin tires on all my vehicles. The LTX on my 2019 Equinox only has 27000 miles and the tires already need to be replaced. No where near the amount of time my other Michelin tires lased. Very disappointed. Tires were on new vehicle purchase.

HORRIBLE TREAD WEAR!!!

I have always put Michelin tires on my SUVs. I made the mistake of buying these tired and they have worn out with only 1/2 the warrantied mileage on them. I have also gotten 2 punctures. When the AAA tow truck came to put the spare on, he said, “These tires are no good”. I was astounded. These are not the Michelin tires I am used to. Stay away!!

Poor tread life.

2017 GMC Acadia Denali equipped with Premier LTX 235 55 20. There tires have been ok for a 3 season tire. Poor snow performance in Michigan from new. First time I've gotten stuck in my entire driving "career". Very poor tread life. Down to 3/32 at 38000 miles. Rotated at each oil change @ aprox. 5000 miles.

Poor treadwear, bad snow traction

After 15,000 miles, the treadwear is down to 4/32" to 5/32". The tires won't last past 20,000 or 25,000 miles. Not even close to the stated 60,000 mile warranty. Traction in light snow is very slippery. General tire performance in daily driving for suburban areas of city and highway is fine but treadwear is horrible.

Remarkable longevity

I replaced the OEM tires on my 2014 Acura MDX with a set of Premier LTX tires, and they have lasted nearly 85000 miles. Much of this is highway driving, but they have still done much better than the OEM tires which came on the new vehicle. They have also been reasonably quiet and excellent on wet roads. I see all of these reviews with this tire having much less treadwear, and I am contemplating getting a set of Defenders instead. Has anyone else gotten close to 80k from a set of Premiers?
