Not cheap, but a good, tasty, low-cal option

Not cheap at all, but good bread, especially for those watching calories. It tastes like bread, and good bread; it's not cardboard. Good mix of seeds, but not so much that it tastes like you're eating birdseed. Bread is fairly fluffy and light, not thick. Good stuff, I say.

Our Family Preferred Bread

We like this brand, but often prefer the white bread as opposed to multi-grain. For the calories, you can't go wrong. I will say that I primarily use this to make grilled cheese and PB%26J and for the grilled cheese, the slices don't brown as evenly as a regular loaf, but it's minor.

Works for me

Yes it is a bit more costly than plain white bread, but it has roughly half the carbs and half the calories of store brand bread. By the time you toast it and get your deli turkey on it, some lettuce, tomatoes, onion and mustard- you have a great healthy sandwich.

Carb-Lovers Rejoice: The 45-Calorie Miracle Loaf!

I have always believed that a sandwich is only as good as the bread that holds it together, but keeping an eye on calories and macros usually means sacrificing that essential foundation. Sinking 200 calories just into the bread before even adding turkey or cheese used to drive me crazy. Discovering the Sara Lee Delightful Multi-Grain Bread completely changed my lunchtime game. It promises the full, comforting experience of a hearty sandwich without the heavy caloric burden, and it absolutely knocks that promise out of the park. Usually, when you drop calories in baked goods, you sacrifice texture and end up chewing on something that strongly resembles a kitchen sponge. That is completely avoided here. This multigrain bread maintains the classic, soft fluffiness you want from a premium loaf. It delivers a slightly nutty, robust flavor profile that perfectly complements savory deli meats, sharp cheeses, and even sweet spreads. The grains add just the right amount of rustic character without making the bread feel overly dense or tough, turning every bite into a genuine pleasure rather than a dietary compromise. The mathematical advantage of this bread is phenomenal. At a mere 45 calories a slice, I can easily build a massive, towering turkey club or enjoy two slices of morning avocado toast for the caloric price of a single piece of standard commercial bread. Better yet, it toasts beautifully. It achieves that ideal golden crunch on the exterior while remaining perfectly tender in the middle. I’ve put this loaf through the wringer—loaded BLTs, messy grilled cheeses, and hearty breakfast sandwiches—and it holds up flawlessly to wet condiments and heavy fillings without tearing or instantly turning to mush. The 20 oz bag provides a generous number of slices, and I have found that it stays impressively fresh on the counter for well over a week. The fiber from the multigrain blend is a fantastic bonus, keeping me feeling remarkably full and energized throughout the afternoon while helping me dodge that infamous post-lunch slump. It is incredibly rare to find an everyday staple that fits so seamlessly into a strict nutritional plan while actually tasting like real, traditional bread. If you are trying to lean out, maintain your weight, or simply make smarter nutritional choices without giving up the comfort foods you genuinely enjoy, this is a mandatory addition to your grocery list. Sara Lee has managed to engineer a completely guilt-free carbohydrate masterpiece that keeps my daily sandwich cravings fully satisfied without wrecking my fitness goals. I make absolutely sure my pantry is never without a backup bag of this delightful bread.

I think the bread is really good. It stays fresh longer and it lasts longer. It doesn't mow easy and you get what your money pays for. I think it's a really good choice of bread and I think everyone should try it and it's also low in calories ladies so it's really a healthy choice.

Great low calorie bread

Good selection for this low calorie bread. I prefer the whole grain bread. The slices are of the smaller size but when calories count it is a very good tasting bread. It has a good taste and It is always my diet bread of choice/

Inconsistent

This bread is inconsistent. The shape of the loaf, thickness of the slices, and oat toppings are different every time. For something mass produced, it should be more consistent. The last loaf i bought was so misshappen that it is difficult to make sandwiches for my daughters lunch.

i love this bread. it is made with whole wheat flour, whole grains and not a lot of added sugar. its soft and yummy. makes great toast. the only thing is whoever packs it needs to be a little diligent to make sure it doesnt get squashed by other items in the bag. Its ok, just the back end slices got squashed. i will live. thank you

Time for a new brand

Have been buying this bread for years. The last couple of months the quality has been questionable. I only look at the date when buying, I don't really look closely at the bread slices. Several loaves ended up being so squished at the middle they were basically unusable. If it happened once I might have thought I mishandled, but had a run on this issue for several weeks. This latest loaf has a best buy date of 4/11. It is 4/7. The loaf is full of mold. Now I have to imagine I ate moldy bread yesterday without realizing. I will not buy this brand again. They have lost my trust.
