I needed to use this in a closet with about 68" of clearance from the floor to the upper shelf. The four corner poles arrive in two parts, both about 36" high, and they screw together. The bottom poles have the floor (~1") / wheel (at least 3") mounts welded in, but the upper poles just have a press in cover. It was relatively easy to cut a few rungs off the top of the upper poles with an angle grinder, replace the covers, then the shelf fits together in the usual way - just a few inches shorter. Perfect for my application!
