It is compact and holds tools and the hose on the unit. You can either use the canister or place a bag into the canister for easy cleaning. I've been enjoying using this on my car to get it nice and clean. It's not overly noisy and has great suction. It's just another fantastic product made by Shark and I'm in love! Definitely worth getting for your vehicle or all of life's messes.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] My household loves our Shark MessMaster Portable Wet/Dry Vacuum. This portable vacuum is incredible, convenient and handy to have. It's lightweight and easy to operate. The included attachments and hose all fit neatly on the vacuum, so I have everything I need right there to clean up pretty much any kind of mess. It's easy to learn how to use it and easy to operate it. I have four young kids, so I have lots of spills and crumbs happening daily, both in my home and in my car. The messes are no match for the MessMaster. It cleans up what other vacuums can't. I love that I can line it with any small plastic bag, to make clean up even easier, without spending extra money. It has no loss of suction, which I was slightly skeptical about at first, but it's true. It's even self-cleaning and rinses itself. All I have to do is vacuum up a cup of warm water then dump it out once it flushes through the vaccum. It has truly exceeded my expectations and I highly recommend it to everyone.

I just hope people don't assume that ALL THE TOOLS SEEN ON PRODUCT ARE NOT INCLUDED!! very wack marketing. It only comes with squeegee and corner tool. If it's supposed to be wet AND DRY why wouldn't the dry carpet tool be included. Waste of time.

The unit is fairly light and easy to carry while vacuuming which makes vacuuming my stairs a lot easier than with the full sized vacuum. The hose isn't terribly long, which is sometimes inconvenient, but makes it a lot easier to use in tight spaces and if you are carrying the vacuum it works out great. When you are done, the hose wraps around the unit and attaches to a little clip that keeps it coiled. The power cord coils up around the handle. There is a larger clip that holds your attachments. I tried using them to hold the two solid hose extensions, but they just kind of get in the way so I either set them aside or on top of the unit when it's stored. The top pops open and the dust bucket is removable to allow easy disposal of whatever you have vacuumed up. You can use small bags with it, but I've just been using it without a bag. The tools and the flexible hose all have a hard rubber edge so they don't scratch anything and it kind of helps you see what you are doing, too. They are labelled for their best usage and with simple instructions. The unit comes with an edge tool, a wet mess tool, and a carpet/uphostry tool. The motor is great and the suction has been very effective, which really makes cleaning a lot easier. It's the perfect size for cleaning your car, but it has been convenient for a variety of messes around the house. The filters are easy to replace and clean, not that I've felt the need to clean them, yet. If you need a convenient little vacuum that can handle almost any mess, this is a great choice. I'm very glad to have added this to my home.

The hose is little narrow so don't expect to clean up any big chunks. The water reservoir is a good size. Suction is good and it's fairly quiet for this kind of vacuum.

Its shape makes it easy to store, even in smaller spots. The size does not affect power. I'm the suction power is as great as any larger vacuum. I have cleaned both wet and dry messes and it has done the job very well. I love that it has different attachments, one of them being a squeegee tool, which helps to clean up wet messes more effectively. The vacuum is lightweight and easy to carry around and lift to high places if need be. I also like that you can rinse the vacuum system out by simply sucking up clean water, which will clean out the system. The only problem that I had is due to the fact I have a double coated dog who sheds a lot, you have to keep the filter clean otherwise you will lose suction and it will not clean as well. The filter is very easy to clean so it is not a problem. You can also line the bin with a small plastic bag if you are sucking up dry items. Overall, I am very happy with this product and it has saved me a ton of time.
