my sister and i bought new can openers at the same time 3 years ago she bought one that cost almost double what i paid for this one. well hers started having problems 6 months later and broke about a year ago. Cooking at her house for Christmas. I realized she only had to rusted out handheld manual can openers We could not get them to work so I had To send my son home to get the top of my can opener Since it charges that's all you need Is the top portion You do not have to bring the whole base. Now i bought my sister her own and she loves it. I have had mine around 3 years and it shows no signs of wear and i absolutely love it. Another thing to note is once you charge it stays charged a long time so you can take that top portion with you camping or on vacations. It is also such a big help to be able to detach the top from the base to open oversized cans. Trust me you will not regret buying this can opener

This thing is very cool 😎. It wasn’t as easy to use at first but I have found that it is much easier to take it off of the charger base to open cans with it. You don’t have to hold it in place once it starts opening the can, when it is done opening the can it automatically stops on its own. The magnet is strong and helps to remove the lid easier. So far I love this can opener. No matter the size or height of your can this opener can really handle the job. No sharp edges either.

It works great. I was a little annoyed that the instructions say "you have to keep it plugged in" to keep it charged. I almost returned it because of this, since I don't keep my appliances all plugged in. However, I found that even not plugged in, it retains the charge for a long time and will work when I need it. It's easy to use, and cuts the can cleanly. If you're going to open a heavy can, you need to hold it so it doesn't tip over - but I don't think that's unusual. You also can use the opener the "alternative" way - off the base if the can is large.

Love this can opener! Due to limited electric outlets in kitchen, it's been tucked in next to sink. To use, simply pop off the top cordless section, open cans then return top section back onto base to keep charging until needed again. Does take some getting used to in order to place can correctly on opener but have mastered that issue.

When this works, it’s pretty good but you have to fight so hard with it to get the can on it right. It’s punctured the sides of cans and ripped off the covers of them without taking the top off, like it’s supposed to. It was supposed to make the process easier but honestly sometimes nothing beats a good ol fashioned can opener.

Love this can opener! I’ve bought so many manual can openers and they have all disappointed me. It works every time I’ve used it without fail. I really like that I can take it off the base and use it. That has come in handy more than once. It’s so fast and easy to use. I haven’t found anything that I don’t like about it yet. Definitely recommend!

It’s still new but I LOVE the fact that it can separate and us rechargeable! It’s a powerful can opener as well. The only thing I would change is the way it opens- the can top is opened and the lids are sharp as compared to the openers that remove the entire lid.

I followed all the instructions for the tea and I can't open it has been charging for over 24 hours with the top can opener attached securely. I cannot find any charging indicator light anywhere on it either. neither the can opener or the detachable can opener works and IDK what to do about it. I've tried multiple Outlets thinking that might be a problem but it was not, I would not recommend this to anybody else

Nice design easy to use. Manual openers are awful. A friend saw it and already ordered one .

It doesn't work. I will be returning it.
