[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The rug arrived tightly wound up. Once we un-rolled it and placed it where we wanted, the edges were curved. In just a few days the rug laid flat. It is high quality material with a beautiful pattern. It has helped transform the room!

It laid flat within a couple days and the slight "new rug odor" dissipated quickly. The rug is VERY thin and provides essentially no cushion when placed on a hardwood floor. If you want any cushion you will need to add a rug pad underneath it. The tag says that it is machine washable, but I have no idea how you could cram this 5x7 rug into a washing machine; although it's nice to know you could take a hose to it outside and scrub it down if needed. Only time will tell how it holds up to wear, but so far I am very happy with it.

I have not washed the rug in a machine but it has gotten soaked twice on our dogs bath day. Only thing I would add is if you have a furry friend I would suggest a pad or carpet tape as our husky shepherd mix kept using the rug as a launch pad and it would crumple up at the end of the hall
