The Michelin Defender LTX M/S2 is a strong all-season tire that delivers a quiet, comfortable ride with excellent traction in both dry and wet conditions. Back in May of 2019 I purchased a full set of 4 - 235/55R19 Michelin Defender LTX tires for our Ford Flex. I'd always been comfortable with Michelin tires for the quality of their construction and safe handling while driving. I also bought them for their mileage warranty! These came with a 65,000 miles guarentee! As of today Saturday 10/25/2025 my vehicle mileage is 89,497, and when I purchased these tires my mileage was approximately 05/09/2019 was 63,067 leaving a total mileage on the tires is only 26,430. My tires are in need of replacement "NOW", as they're only an 1/8th of an inch or less from reaching the wear indicaters in the tires, and the requiring new tires.

I’ve driven about 30,000 miles on these tires, and while tread life and traction are excellent, the noise is absolutely unbearable. From day one, the road noise has been loud, droning, and constant — it doesn’t matter if I’m on a smooth highway, backroad, or city street. The sound fills the cabin and never stops. They’ve worn evenly and still have tons of tread left, but I honestly can’t take it anymore. Nobody wants to ride with me and it gives my daughter instant headaches. For a tire that’s marketed as quiet, this has been the complete opposite experience.

First install appointment, which was scheduled online weeks before the planned install date, could not be completed as scheduled due to communication issues among the tire shop staff. We appeared as scheduled and checked the vehicle in. Over 1 hr later we checked on the truck and were told the guy who you checked in with went to lunch without telling staff that the truck was there. Required another 70 mi. extra round trip from our rural home location to get the tires installed on my truck. A significant inconvenience for us. No compensation offered for our inconvenience encountered in this over $1300 purchase!

Tires are on a 2016 F-150 King Ranch. So far they have proved to provide a "softer ride" that what they replaced. Traction under wet conditions (torrential down pour with flooded roads) has been very good, no hydroplaning. I see to be getting improved fuel mileage. Handling was a little vague. It is too early to say anything about durability.

I put these on a 2025 Honda Ridgeline nice Ride and very quiet their predecessor the LTX M/S had pretty good winter traction ( I had them on a few vehicles) and ran them through the winter so I expect these will be the same. Though they don't compare to an actual "winter tire" they are pretty good. Minus a star because they have limited sizes, couldn't find the size I wanted so had to settle for a tire an Inch taller.

Michelin is the only tires I buy for our personal vehicles. Overall traction is great, and I feel safe during rainy day driving. Treadwear performance is excellent, and I have always accumulated at least 40,000 miles on every set of Michelin tires I have owned. I especially appreciate the comfort and handling they provide while driving my 4-wheel drive RAM pickup.

The X-Ice tires are just excellent. I've had several sets over the years living in Calgary. The winters here are no joke and these tires are super capable on both snow and ice, they wear nicely and they're super quiet. Can't say I've ever driven a better winter tire.

I’ve used Michelin tires for probably 40 years. I have never had any problems with them. I’m getting old now and my last set of tires aged out and still had more than half of the tread left. Bought a new complete set of the same type of (Michelin Defenders) tires. I suspect these will be my last set before I have to turn in my drivers license as I will be very close to 90 years old by then.

I regret purchasing these tires. Their ride is too hard and noisy. There is excess molding process flaps of rubber on two tires which should have been trimmed off at the factory. The Latitude Touring HP is a much better choice for a 2018 Lexus GX 460. I fell ill and didn't have the opportunity to ask for other tires within the Michelin allotted time period.
