The large white cement citronella candle from Sam's is both stylish and effective. The sturdy cement design looks great on my patio, and the citronella scent is strong enough to deter mosquitoes even in South Texas weather. It burns evenly, lasts a long time, and really makes sitting outside more comfortable. Great value and great protection!

I love this candle! It sits on my patio dining table. When I'm done with it I'm going to turn it into a planter.

I bought 2 of these because I loved the look and that they were citronella. I planned to use the cement as a planter when I was done. I didn't even get a chance to light it before it cracked and spilled wax all over the table. It was only spring so not even that hot yet. The cement doesnt handle temperature changes well, which is odd for a candle casing. I returned and bought a new one only to have that one crack as well. I was very disapppointed because I really did love the idea of these candles, they just weren't executed well or made properly by Member's Mark.

This candle seemed well made and heavy, but it was not at all! We have never even had the chance to light it. The cement container cracked and melted all over the pool deck. I have never had this issue with a citronella candle before this. I no longer have the box, because I had no intention of returning it and was looking forward to lighting it in the evenings. I doubt I can return it now Very disappointed and do not recommend this candle.

I am writing this review as a serious warning. Do not, under any circumstances, buy this candle. It has caused thousands of dollars in damage to my home without even being used as intended. Let me be crystal clear: THIS CANDLE WAS NOT LIT. AT THE TIME It was simply sitting on the counter of my outdoor kitchen. Apparently, the intense Arizona heat was enough to cause the cheap, so-called "durable" cement vessel to crack and fail on its own. The vessel couldn't handle the basic thermal stress of an average summer day, a fundamental failure for a product marketed for outdoor use. When the cement cracked, it released a torrent of wax—which had melted to a liquid in the ambient heat—all over my outdoor island. It was a slow, silent disaster that has ruined multiple, expensive surfaces. The damage is infuriating and extensive: Leathered Granite Countertop: The oily, colored wax seeped deep into the pores of my leathered granite, leaving a massive, hideous stain that may be permanent. Stacked Stone Veneer: The wax cascaded down the beautiful stacked stone face of our island, soaking into the porous stone and grout, creating a greasy, impossible-to-clean nightmare. Polyaspartic Coated Floor: The wax spill continued onto our brand new polyaspartic coated floor, staining the surface and leaving a sticky, ugly mess. A product designed for the outdoors should be able to withstand the sun. This one crumbled under the most basic condition of its intended environment. The fact that it failed without even being lit is proof of its abysmal quality and defective manufacturing. This isn't just a bad candle; it's a trap waiting to ruin your property. Save yourself a massive headache and thousands of dollars in potential repairs. This product is fundamentally unfit for its purpose. I am beyond furious.

I bought this a few weeks ago for out by my pool. I am very disappointed in the candle. When out in the sun it melts into a liquid. All my wicks are buried in the pool of melted wax. Don't waste your time or money on this.

Bought three of these. The container they come in is niice. I was sent the wrong color on two and after lit for a couple hours the wicks sunk into the wax and will no longer light.

I purchased this candle for the summer. I came home today and it had broke with the 90 degree temperature and melted all over the patio. Thank goodness I never lit it. I would not recommend buying this candle.

It's a pretty candle but in the hot weather it collapsed and melted all over my patio chairs and the deck. It was extremely difficult to clean up and ruined my chairs. Do not buy this!
