This planting barrel is very cute in the garden, well made and sturdy. It is a great 'mid size' barrel for planting a few blooming flowers or small batches of vegetables like 2-3 heads of lettuce. It is light weight and the finish looks like wood from a short distance. It has enough holes in the bottom to drain properly. I use medium size containers like this to do 'container' vegetable gardening in the summer, and these are light enough for me to move around if I need to change pot locations or to repot plants in the fall.
