I bought these tires last winter and they impressed in terms of virtually no increase in noise level, no change in performance and minimal impact on fuel economy. Unfortunately I was disappointed in their performance on snow and ice - slipping more on my AWD Audi than my previous FWD car using x-ice tires. I've since learned that it might be better to have purchased smaller winter tires but have never had to do that before on previous vehicles to achieve confident traction using x-ice tires.

I am on my second set and use it the whole year. I live in -5 - +17c climate. The first set was 225/40-18 FR and 255/35-18 rear, sold the wheels and tires after 28k km (plenty left) and went for 4x 255/35 - 19" to cover the RC-F brakes. In my case 35-45k km is about max and that is fine by me.

Just purchased a new '14 Audi S5. Did not realize that the stock tires were high performance summers and was faced with a decision to either go with All-Seasons -or Winter's- and just swap out. After extensive research I settled on this tire - and paid a premium - since they are very hard to find. Online retailers said in November that they couldn't get them to Jan!! Makes no sense so I had to buy it at a premium from dealer. All I can say is WOW- glad I did- because these tires represent an amazing feat of engineering. They are just as quiet as my summers with little to no degradation in tire performance. That just doesn't seem possible with a winter tire. I live in the NorthEast- so have put these through a NorEaster along with snow- and has ripped through everything with gusto. Maybe it's the combination of these tires and Audi's quattro system but the car just feels anchored to the road even in the worst weather. Could not be happier with this product and would recommend to any owner especially my fellow Audi enthusiasts.

I bought this brand 20 months ago and I am so happy with my choice. These tires are strong, steady on ice, very stable on road what ever the winter condition is and almost no tire noise. I bought them for my Lexus IS 350 2020, so you can imagine why I chose them. It's worth the price that I paid for. I highly recommend them.

I installed a new set of Pilot Alpin PA4 3 months ago in September on my BMW 3 Series. To be fair these tires are quite good on wet roads, very quiet with good acceleration and braking. But very poor traction on icey roads and snow as you may know how Edmonton's roads are in the Winter. very disappointing really for the amount of money I have paid. I expected better quality and traction on the roads.

I'm heading through my second winter on these. On packed snow, I've found them to be truly great. They stop and turn very well. My neighborhood is hilly and doesn't get plowed. Traveling uphill through 6 to 8 inches of snow, there's definitely some wheel slip - but they've always gotten me through the hills and onto plowed roads. Descending steep hills is a non-issue. No sliding at all. A good match for the S4 - they make the pretty much bullet-proof in winter.

I had these tires installed on my 2013 VW Golf R in October 2016 and could not have been happier. They have exceeded my expectations. I was going to buy the X-Ice XI3's which I have used in the past on a Passat and a Golf TDi but ultimately wanted to preserve and maintain the performance characteristics of the Golf R. It corners almost as if you have your summer UHP tires on. There is plenty of traction in the snow and ice and braking is excellent. The tires are also quiet. These are high quality tires you will enjoy.

I bought these this last year in anticipation of receiving my 2020 vehicle. I was able to drive them in some brief wet-snow conditions when my car came in tail-end of winter leading into spring (March 2020), and I was quite pleased with their performance and feel on the road. I look forward to seeing how they perform in snow-ice conditions this upcoming year. I looked long and hard to find winter tires that could fit my car in OEM size, and the only ones that would fit the bill were Pirelli or Michelin. I haven’t had the best experiences with Pirelli, so I went with Michelin; I couldn’t be happier with the decision! I’ll keep with Michelin when it comes time to change tires again.

Have the Alpin PA4 on two vehicles now and for city living they are great. Feels like driving on summer tires, great in wet and slush and moderate ice. Likely not the best tire for deep snow but living in the city we rarely see that, mostly roads are plowed right away. A great performance winter tire choice.

Bought these last year for my 2019 Honda Civic Type R. I am very pleased driving on them during the fall/winter period. Living in Vancouver, British Columbia, lots of rain, light snow the tires performed very well. Sticky and grounded driving experience! Felt very safe driving on these wheels. I would recommend and buy these again for my next set of winters for sure!
