After our previous Beautyrest mattress failed, we got the black in series 3, firm. My husband and I bought it about 3-4 months ago. Long story short, it failed. There are two dents in the bed from us. Had the inspector come today and confirm the mattress had failed. It also is advertised as "firm", but is a "medium". Even as a medium, there should not be two big dents in the bed now. Beautyrest quality has drastically declined, and the beds are mostly stuffed with soft garbage, it seems. We are done with this brand. This is sad, because it once was a coveted mattress brand. Now they just produce trash that fails. We will be going to a private and local mattress company. Will be getting a simple, no frills mattress. Zero padding and definitely no pillow top. A firm, old-fashioned mattress is the best. I thought this bed would be it, but I should have known it had too much padding. I would definitely consider an old Beautyrest model, if still sold as new. Note: we are average weight people, and the bed looks like two cows slept in it. He is 6+ft/200, I am 5'4/125.

Sleeping on it feels like the most luxurious hotel bed, and the motion isolation is so nice. I used to wake up from the shaking of my husband putting on his socks while sitting on the bed, but now it doesn’t bother me because I can’t feel the movement! I’m sleeping through the night since we got this mattress because it’s so comfortable.

It has just the right amount of softness, but yet still firm. I will never own a different mattress!! I love the black color as well!! It sits up nice & high which makes it look & feel even better!! Purchased the Beauty rest black and foundation.We were given a delivery window of 7:30 am-11:30 am. I set my alarm..At 6:10 am we get a call the delivery is on it's way. ( I didn't even wake up) Soon after the delivery arrived (way before the window.)and what to my sleepy eyes see? Just the box springs! So you arrived at my hoiuse at 6am something with no Mattress???? I had to fight through numbers that weren't answered, live chat that wont work, oh and the Beautyrest help office doesn't open till 10am, imagine that. Now I am again waiting for the mattress, which wont arrive for a few more days.I guess we'll sleep on the box springs tonight. Worst worst worst delivery experience ever. Beauty rest should be ashamed. Terrible, Terrible Terrible!

I have ankylosing spondylitis and also don’t weigh much, meaning most beds, even “plush”, are too firm for me. This is just right. And the support strap in the middle helps more than you realize. I went back to the store several times to lay on it before buying. The 3rd time I almost fell asleep.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I was really excited for this mattress and while it wasn’t the worst mattress I’ve slept on it definitely wasn’t my favorite. The diamond shaped pattern of the mattress top can be felt when sleeping on it and made it really uncomfortable. I did like how cool it stayed during the night.

But be carful when movie it with the straps they seem easy to break. I love the look. It’s much nicer than a standard white mattress. Just need a matching box springs now.

The durability it amazing it has handles on side as pictured above. You also don't get hot while sleeping and the support is unmatched my back is not killing me anymore when I first wake up.
