Unit works great and cools well but window adapter required additional weather stripping to seal properly. The packing and shipping was terrible - the unit arrived upside down with the wheels exposed because the entire "bottom" of the container was missing. Fortunately, the unit was not damaged by the packing/shipping deficiencies.

We use this unit to supplement our central system on the upper level of our home. It works well, fairly quiet as I watch tv or have a family conversation without raising the volume or my voice. At night, we lower the central unit setting (we only have one thermostat on the lower level) and keep the portable in our bedroom (family of two), this saves us some money on electricity as we only cool the needed room. I use some tape to make sure the window bracket stays in place. I would recommend this product. Our unit was delivered in less than two days.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This came at a great time. My parents and I live in a 2-story house and upstairs gets really hot during the summer. Our windows open left to right, so putting a traditional AC unit is not possible. This portable one has been so useful. For the AC unit and dehumidifier functions, there’s a large tube in the back and a tray-like material. Basically, it’ll connect to the window, so the excess water that the machine collects can get drained out without having to it manually. The heater function is pretty straightforward to use, just turn on and no issues. The remote control is great too, especially if you’re sleeping and the machine the far away from you. I’m not sure what max distance you have to be at for the machine to pick up the buttons pressed on the remote. Overall, this has been great to have, especially with the fluctuating weather in NY recently.

Living in Florida it is very hot here. My husband has put it too much needed use. He drives a FedEx style truck for our business and was able to actually put it in there to cool the entire truck!!!!! This is a very large truck and it cools it down in a jiffy. One happy husband, highly highly highly recommend this product.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This ac unit is great for smaller spaces - we used it when we had an outage from the hurricane and hooked it it up to the generator- the. We used it in my bedroom to keep it extra cool. This is great when done with the hose to blow the hot air outside but I wish there was an option to allow it to be hooked up without needing to use the window so it can be easier moved around the house.

Didn’t work. Spent $550 for a product that doesn’t produce any air. Plugged in, items lit up to show its on and then powered up and the lovers opened but no air came out. Counting on this to take care of my brother who is over 70 years old with health concerns and needed up a big failure. Shipping was great, came earlier then expected

Do NOT buy this! I’ve only gotten to use it for 1.5 summers. It started making this obnoxious drilling sound when I ran it and then it accumulated mold inside. I attempted to clean it but the mold had already spread to hard to reach places. The Whirlpool Customer Service team was basically useless. They were unable to provide me with a solution since the warranty had just expired. For the price of this AC, it shouldn’t be defective after 5 months total of overall use. Very disappointed
