[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] This self watering planter its height makes quite a statement , it goes great at the front door and would be good enough quality to use at a store entrance. Its very heavy duty thick plastic, less need to worry about it being blown over. It has a space of 12" deep for a plant , and additional 3" deep drain and water area. it fits a 12" drop in pot well , its hollow on the bottom so I ended up placing mine over a rock to ensure its stability in heavy wind.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I wasn't 100% what it was going to look like because the picture doesn't show very good detail. This is really nicely made! It has a hole in the top of the side wall that is like a water reservoir and it has holes in the bottom so the plant doesn't hold too much water and it can drain. That's a huge bonus when your kids always want to help water the plants. I'm excited to see how my tomatoes grow over time.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] Overall, I am pretty happy with the Mayne Caprio planter. It is 26 inches x 16 inches so it’s a really good sized planter! The inside of the planter goes about halfway down the 26 inch height of it, so you will need to fill that much of it with potting soil. The instructions were pretty vague and it would have been nice if it would have given a suggested amount of potting soil needed to fill the planter. There’s also a pretty big hole in the middle of the planter that I’ve had some trouble with the potting soil falling out as I’m filling it up. I love that it has a water reserve built into the planter, which is easy to access from the top edge of the planter. The planter design is very simple yet beautiful. The black color is a nice, crisp black and the texture just adds a little character to it. The planter is made with a heavy duty plastic that I think will hold up well over time. It isn’t super heavy and was easy for me to carry outside and place it where I wanted it without any help. I would definitely recommend this to anyone looking for a simple yet modern planter.

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I love the Mayne Caprio planter!!! The built-in water system is genius! I have been known to kill a plant from time to time (basically, all the time), either from forgetting to water or watering too much. My mom has resorted to purchasing me artificial flowers. However, when I saw this basket of flowers, I promised myself that I could keep it alive. It is so beautiful! This particular flower basket is difficult to see if you have watered enough because the foliage is so dense. But the Caprio planter has a fill port on the side. It is very easy to slide a fingernail underneath the edge and peel up. I only had to lift the portion of the flowers that hid the plug and didn’t need to worry about spreading the plant apart and leaving holes anywhere. The water trough holds the water evenly around the planter, ensuring that all of the soil receives water. When the water gets too high, it goes into the overflow drain and is held in the reservoir, which is quite substantial. It’s like an overflow hole in the bathroom sink. Genius. The planter is very light, but still has some sturdiness to it. I like the black color and the slightly textured sides. I love the Caprio planter and am excited about using it for years to come…and keeping my plants alive.

I was impressed how sleek it looks and feels on my front porch. It really makes it easy to freshen up the landscape without worries about cracking or breaking like traditional ceramic planters. This would be perfect for any front or backyard, as a centerpiece or accent. I have mine by the front door. I will be changing out my plants as the summer comes and plan to use this for an evergreen accent for the holidays in the winter.
