Excellent Yard Force Electric Reel Mower. Only problem is the battery doesn't last too long.

Was able to mow around my mailbox, and down part of my long driveway on 1 battery. Having a 2nd battery makes all the difference.

Nifty little mower but needs (at minimum) more power. I have bermuda grass which likes to be cut short and is ideal for a reel mower. My grass is healthy and thick. An area about 20' x 30' required three batteries. The mower bogged down and stopped numerous times due to being under powered. This was mowing down from 1.5" to 1". The mower needs more power. Ideally a wider cut with 7 reels, heavier duty motor with higher amperage batteries and tighter 1/4" cutting height increments vs the 1/2".

I have a quarter acre croquet court of Bermuda grass. I cut every 5 days to 1/2 inch. For most of the year it takes 2 batteries, mid July through August I need a third. The 1/2 inch is good for friendly matches and practice. If Yardforce came out with a more powerful reel mower with the lowest setting of 1/4 inch I would very much consider purchasing.

I hoped this would be a great entry level reel, but, even at $140 (on sale), this was not what I hoped for. With outside temperatures down to the 80s, the batteries were overheating and discharging quickly. I can't charge the batteries fast enough to keep up, and additional batteries are super expensive, especially for only 2 amp hour. I'm hoping that this can be rewired and rigged for a better result, but do not expect this to mow more than 1,000 sq ft out of the box.

I does what I wanted it to, and electric reel mowers are not easy to find, and that's specifically what I wanted. I wish they had a version of this with more blades and a 40 volt motor, it's not very fast. Good enough for my small yard.
