Michelin Primacy, not impressed

I have the Michelin Primacy MXM4 on my 2015 Hyundai Genesis. I lease this car and don't put extensive miles on it. I am sitting at 22,000 miles 2 years into my lease and when I went in for my scheduled oil change I asked them to rotate my tires, at which the dealership said I needed new tires. These are a 55,000 mile tire and i have 1/32nd left in tread on my rear tires. Contacted Hyundai who denied the claim. My fronts have 7/32 left on the treads. I rotated the first time at 10,000 miles. I would expect more out of Michelin tires.

Love these tires so far,

Less than 1000 miles on so it's hard to tell how they will wear. Really love the ride the give and secure feeling. I am concerned somewhat about some of the mileage complaints customers had and there where several. Guess time will tell, but if they are anything like the Michelin's I had on my truck years ago, I will be more than happy with my choice. My tires get rotated about every 5000 miles. Which was done on the previous Tiger Paws, but just changed them with 35000 miles on them and highway miles 80%. Tires wore even, I had the alignment checked and corrected before I purchased the Michelin's even though the alignment was not far off.

great tire, wonderful traction

I am a regular 42 year old daily commuter.I drive a Honda Accord V6, over 87 miles each way, that's allot of miles. I went through two sets of tires in four years. My first set was oe tires from Honda. They were MXM4 Michelins, great ride strong sidewalls, great grip. Then I replaced with similar replacement from Michelin. Once again great tire. My last set I bought from a different brand, "A top end touring tire" I had to replace three of the four due to weak sidewalls, bulging out and warping." Horrible experience, I will return to Michelin for my next set in a few months.

Great Tires

Great tires! I replaced OEM tires with only 11,000 mile on them and knew from mile one these Michelins where going to improve the ride and handling on my wife's new car. These tires are smooth and quiet on dry pavement and sure footed in the rain. Stopping feels secure at any speed.

Great Handling, Tread wears a bit too fast

I bought a 2018 Honda Accord Touring new with these tires. I drive pretty tame in Kansas...flat...no curves. I do a lot of gentle engine breaking and with a CVT there isn't much exciting about 0-60, so these tires live a boring life. The car lives in a garage too at night. I got about 35,000 on the original set and decided to replace with the same tire. I am at 68,000 and it appears I am about 4-5k miles from a third set. I used to run Goodyear Assurance Comfortred's and get the advertised mileage (80k) in older Accords when I used to travel highways all the time. I think 45-50k would be realistic on these tires. 35k just seems low. Also, once you get down to about 4-5mm of tread depth, the noise really picks up.

waldo49, the Primacy MXM4 tires have a 55k limited treadwear warranty on them. We suggest that you return to the selling retailer for a warranty claim. Should there be any questions, you are welcome to call us at 866-866-6605 from the retailers store.

Great in rain and dry roads but not an all season tire.

I got the tires installed just before winter. Immediately felt the difference in handling. Terrific on the dry road and in heave rain. Total control in heavy rain at decent speeds. I saw no improvement in mileage at speeds over 100k but I noticed some improvement when driving between 90 and 100k. Driving in fresh snow scared the living out of me since the tires had no grip whatsoever. On packed snow they got me to where I was going provided that I drove much slower than I am used to. This is NOT AN ALL SEASON TIRE. Too pricey for just 3 seasons. Bring back the Harmony tire for all seasons.

Michelin Primacy all around performer

My Michelin Primacy tires are used year round through 4 seasons of New England weather. They are excellent in all aspects of handling, smooth ride and quietness. They perform outstanding in all weather from the summer heat to frigid cold blizzard conditions. The only drawback is that how long the last. This is my second set of Michelin Primacy tires and the usable tread is worn at about 30,000 miles.

Great all around tires

For the Acura TL these are hands down the best tires. The first set lastest 35k miles which I thought was a little low so I bought another supposedly equivalent set of tires and the loss of quality compared to the Michelin was immediately noticeable. The new tires had a lot of road noise that wasn't there with the Michelins plus the difference in build quality and appearance was very noticeable. After 10k miles a tire separated, so I was liberated from the bad set and went right back to these!

Good but leaky

Had these tires for just over a year now. I'm coming from years of Michelins that have required zero maintenance. These however, during cold months, are losing 5psi per week. They ride fine and grip the road fine, but I now have to be in the habit of constantly checking pressure.

Worst lasting tire I've ever bought!!

Shortly after my wife and I bought a used accord for her close to a year ago we put new tires on in October. We chose Michelin MXM4 235/40R19 96v for our car they have handled and driven great! My wife got a flat the other day and we bought the extra warranty on these tires, so I met her and took it in to get the flat fixed. I've had them rotated once in the 13k miles she has put on them. When we got to the tire shop they came out and measured all our tread depths, the back two were at 3/32 and 4/32!! They start at 10/32 and they have a 55k mile warranty on them and we're 1k for a set of 4! After this set and the last set of Michelin tires I had on my truck I have quickly lost faith in the brand, this being after my family using different tires of theirs on different cars with good luck, I guess they don't take the same pride through out the line up! I will not be buying another set for a long time after this!!
