Great features!

I bought this generator a little over a week ago. So far assembly has been super easy and the generator fired right up. Have been able to power everything I need with wattage to spare. The wheel kit that comes with the generator makes it super portable. Would reccomend this generator to anyone.

Very Well made and has everything I need

This generator comes with everything you need and work well powering my house through a Transfer Switch. Wish I would have bought this years ago. The ability to setup the generator, and then start it via Fob, further separates this generator from others I considered. Great Buy.

Excellent Dual Fuel Generator

This is the luxury version of a portable generator that can keep your power going after a storm. Love the dual fuel aspect (gas and propane). You have the choice of a remote key fob start, push button or hand pull start. Plenty of power any way you go. I had it tied into my electric panel with an interlock system so I can choose what breakers to use during major outages.

Great features at a great price

I bought this generator to power my daughter's house during power outages. It is used as a whole-house generator with a 50 Amp inlet cabled to the generator's 50 Amp outlet. So far it is able to power her 5-ton AC unit and all appliances using the gasoline fuel option. Have not tried the propane fuel option yet.

Well Equipped and Solidly Built Generator

I just got this generator set up and running. Setup was straightforward, and started right up first time, using a 20 lb propane tank to fuel it. I switched on all my back-up circuits in the transfer switch (manual) and the generator carried the loads smoothly. I think this model is very capable and lives up to its Westinghouse reputation.

Outstanding American Produce

I did extensive research on the type of emergency generator we wanted for power outages in Southern Cal. This generator checked all the boxes. Even generators more expensive didn't have the features this one does, especially the duel fuel. I'm not a big fan of storing gasoline, so the propane option was spot on. I love the outlet options and if a real necessity, I can even run my class A motor home off the 50 Amp outlet. As others have stated, it's a little loud, but my food won't spoil and we won't be sitting around in the dark. Good job, Westinghouse!

Great Generator

Purchased this generator to replace one that had a lot of issues. Read reviews and decided this is what I needed to help through hurricane season. So far very satisfied with this purchase and how we are using this. Love the three fuel options as getting gasoline after a storm can be a challenge.

Sweet Generator

My wife and I decided to bite the bullet and purchase a generator, as we have gone through prolonged power outages the past few years. After a great deal of research, we decided on the Westinghouse WGen9500DF. It has all the power we would need and also has outstanding features. The remote start is a great addition that my wife especially likes. This model also had outstanding reviews from other users. The wheels are large and were easy to put on. It is a bit heavy, but the large wheels and transport handle make it easy to move from one location to another. Of course, we hope we never need to use it, but we are glad for the peace of mind in case we do.

Great home backup generator

I upgraded to this generator from a 5000 watt, 30 year old generator that still worked, but was struggling to keep up with the modern demands of a household. In addition to keeping the lights on, I can run my well pump, sump pump, furnace, 1 or 2 burners on the electric range, window AC, and even the oven. Not all at the same time, but it will hold these loads as needed. That is just what I need when the power goes out here in the Northeast.

Best Overall Value

I was looking for a generator to provide emergency backup to critical circuits in my home. I researched for about two months before settling on the WGen9500DF. I have only had it for two days. Time will tell how it holds up. I was skeptical at the build quality, and expected it to be a cheaply made Chinese generator private labeled under the Westinghouse name. After un-crating and setting up the build quality far exceeded my expectations. It was manufactured in China but indicates engineered in Columbus Ohio. A majority of the parts are cast or stamped metal. The air filter housing is stamped metal. I expected cheap plastic. The frame is solid tube steel. Compared to other models that I considered from WEN and Honda this unit definitely has the best overall value. Westinghouse did an amazing job of balancing features and price. To be clear it is not a Honda, but for the money it is not a fair comparison. The dual fuel is a great feature. The remote start is neat too, but not really a sales feature that I considered. The included tool kit was a surprise. It comes with a combination wrench with two different sizes that fits most of the hardware on the unit and a spark plug wrench packed in a well stitched nylon tool bag. The tools are solid quality and not the disposable tools that come with do it yourself furniture. They remind me of the multi tool that comes with a Stihl chainsaw.
