Easy to assemble, started right up, not too hard to start with pull rope if needed, not as loud as I expected. Control panel laid out nice, remote start works well. I have only run on propane to this point. Have not needed full power as yet, and really like not having to fool with gas cans and emptying fuel tank after use. Very satisfied with purchase, the only improvement I can see would be better wheels for pulling in grass

I live in Central Florida and I have been thinking about having a whole house generator fo several years. We have experience a few power outages due to hurricanes over the last two decades and it is very inconvenient to deal with for several days to a week. I purchased the Westinghouse Dual Fuel 9500 watt generator because it is powerful to run all of my key systems with the versatility of using gasoline or propane. Both are in short supply during a storm so the more options the better. I also liked the fact that it was a 50 amp generator with electric start. I just had a 10 circuit transfer circuit and an inlet plug outside to allow me to power my home without running extension cords. I ran a test when everything was completed and the 9500 started. I flipped on all circuits and the 9500 handled everything I threw at it. It was able to power 2 refrigerators, Hot water heater and water pump with no problem. The Generator did not bog down even when every thing was on including wall air conditioners, lights and fans. I cannot comment on how it will preform during a storm since we haven't had on yet. I am interested to see how many hours it will run on a tank of propane. I have purchased some larger tanks and have them filled and stored. I would like to be able to last 3-4 days without having to go out and search for fuel. So far, I am extrmely happy with this purchase. This Generator is well made, powerful and not very loud.

This month I received the generator and did a mock power cut drill. I fed it through a 50 Amp breaker with safety interlock and supplied my home with power. It worked perfectly. I am so pleased with the outcome and now have peace of mind dealing with future brown outs or power cuts.

Living in Florida is a challenge. After Hurricane Ian left us powerless for 11 days, with no electric to work the water pump and every electrical device in the house. When the dust settled, we realized we needed a strong generator to get us through any other outages. After much research, I settled on Westinghouse model wgen9500dfc, a 12,500-Watt dual fuel portable generator with remote start and a transfer switch outlet! The outlet is very important because the best setup for these generators is having a transfer switch outlet on the house that feeds into your breaker box. This is the safest way to run every system in your home following a bad storm with an outage. This allows you to plug the generator directly into the breaker box, block any incoming electricity from the power company so that you can select everything to be run on this big generator. Including your central air, which is a must in our hot humid climate. It's bad enough cleaning up after a hurricane, worse yet if you have no way to wash, clean, eat, protect, - all facets of home ownership here. Now that the new 2024 hurricane season is upon us, I've set up the brand new generator and following instructions to have it broken in and ready to go for the next emergency. We used non-ethanol gas which keeps your engines running clean. Follow the few directions to start the first time. It started right up! All by the push of one button. It's wonderful to not have to have a PhD to run a piece of equipment. Thank you Westinghouse, for an amazing all house generator of this quality. Out of the box the machine was as advertised and looked amazing. The set up was easy and the instructions were clear and easy to follow. The price and features of this unit are amazing, Great Value! Now that it is running I am very satisfied. Here is where the "But" comes in. The issue I had was that it wouldn't start. I read many of the reviews and it seems to be a common problem. I called customer service and the agent gave me two suggestions, to add a little more oil so it is in the middle of the acceptable range on the dipstick, and to remove the solenoid off the bottom of the carburetor and make sure the needle is moving freely. Despite the fact that the process to removing the solenoid was a labor intensive and frustrating process, the two suggestions did the trick and it started right up. Once running it performs beautifully. But, having to do all this was a bit time consuming and frustrating. I would suggest that anyone purchasing this unit, and I DO RECOMMEND YOU DO! Make sure it is running well before you go out and try to get it going in the field or during an emergency.

Bought the 9500DFc to run my home during power outages. Just finished the 5-hour breakin. Instructions were clear and after putting in the fluids it started without any struggle on the first try with the remote fob. During breakin, I had a freezer, a refrigerator, and halogen work lights connected to it. I also operated a 12-inch chop saw and a pool water pump. No issues. It was surprisingly easy to move around the garage, too. I feel confident it will meet my needs during the next prolonged power outage.

Better than a whole house generator and cheaper, runs on propane and gas, auto start with automatic switching devise. Can run up to 10 circuits (maybe more but only have a 10 circuit box). Starts with touch of a button, very very happy with generator and price. Highly recommend for any homeowner.

Just received Wgen 9500 generator. I love all the features. WAs package very well for shipping not a stratch on it. Started immediately dual fuel this is a beast that is easy to roll around. There is nothing else to ask for from a portable generator. Very happy.

I purchased this generator after we experienced a several day long power outage because of a hurricane. I am so glad we now have this on hand so that we will not have to go through the same issues we had with the most recent outage. The best part is that it will power just about our entire home which will make for a very seamless transition if and when the time comes.

just purchase this after several days with no power and an old generator that was too small. assembled in minutes, and fired it up with the wireless remote, and runs clean, not terribly noisy, and troublefree. looking forward to next power outage to be able to run my furnace and water and refrigerators.
