My rural area experiences many outages. I am excited that my new generator will be able to provide the power to keep the lights on, start my oil heater, flush all my toilets, keep my water pump pumping and my two refrigerators running. Of course, also my land lines and my big screen TV!

Very inpressed with the looks of the generator, well made. Unpacked it, put wheels and stand on it, added gas and it started right up. Looks like it has all the features that I need as I enter into hurricane season. I look forward to using it if and when i do.

Too early to fully review, will come back once I use. Only disappointment so far is the amount of scuffing on the painted parts. Obviously rubbed too much during shipping. Even looks like a poor factory touch up of frame. It's matte black, but touch up was glossy.

Bought this a month ago but due to covid finally assembled it and started it with the propane hook up. Love the electric and remote start. Tested the 20amp plugs, worked great. Waiting for my power cord to deliver next week and test my new 50 amp setup. I was able to run my house on my old 30 amp set up on a 6000 w generator but its 20 years old. It did a good job when needed but this new Wgen 9500df unit should do an even better job. Once my cord delivers i will test the unit and report back

I purchased another generator at first and found out it didn't have the features I was looking for. Found this generator and it has exceeded my expectations. I have enough power to run the majority of stuff in my house and an added bonus is the remote start feature.

I just purchased this item and it arrived early. After an easy set up I hooked up the propane following the instructions and fired it up with no problems. Very simple to operate and I specifically bought this unit for the dual fuel option. I like the ease of use and hopefully I won't need it for an emergency this year's hurricane season.

Have heard great things about this Westinghouse Wgen9500 series of generators; and so far this appears to be true, but I am only still in the early "break-in" phase....and it has not been put to the test. Can not say the same about the choice of shipping companies; as delivery was several days after stated date; and the item had obviously been mishandled, and even stood on end; as the bottle of oil had been crushed with over half leaking out all over the contents in the box in that end.....not across the bottom of the box where you would expect it to be if sitting on the base as it should be.

I bought the WGen9500DF earlier this week and it got delivered right on time. I unboxed it and set it up this weekend. This is my first generator, however, I have assembled numerous pieces of equipment. This was pretty straight forward. I did have to add additional 10W30 oil than what was supplied to get the oil to register correctly on the dipstick. I connected in the battery charger while I read the instructions thoroughly. Once I was ready, I connected a 20 lb. propane tank and the system fired up on the first start button push! I ran it for 30 mins with no load. Voltage looked good and held steady at 240V. The Hertz ran a little high (>62) at times though I expect this to change once it is under load. Happy so far and now prepared for the first winter storm, if needed.

Outstanding workmanship. Great instructions that, in spite of its weight, allowed me to totally prepare the device. It is also not as noisy as I thought it would be. Living in FL, my wife has been after me to get something to protect our food/lights. Hope I never have to turn it on. Beautiful piece of equipment! I bought the WGen9500DF generator since my 5300 model was stolen. Had good results with the 5300, ran smooth, started when I needed it. The 9500 was recommended from a family member who has it. Like the dual fuel option, and this model has battery / electric start and a remote control.. Nice features.
